Vengeance Rising reissue and reunion show

Vengeance Rising, one of the oldest Christian thrash metal bands, have announced a reissue of their debut album Human Sacrifice. They have also announced a special reunion show at the SoCal Metal Fest 2, with the original lineup of Guitarists Larry Farkas and Doug Thieme, Bassist Roger Martin and Drummer Glen Mancaruso. The band also got a fill in vocalist for the show! The man behind the mic for the show is Jim Settle of Hand of Fire. The show is happening on Saturday, August 12th.… Continued →

California Thrash band Hand of Fire has a new music video for y’all to see! The song is called “The Prophecy” and it is brutal. It brings the sound of old school thrash, much like Slayer or Metallica, with the vocals of Death Angel. Tourniquet performing at Exodo Fest w/ New Lineup

The beloved thrash metal band, Tourniquet has been working on a new album for the last year or so, with only the lineup of founder Ted Kirkpatrick (drums) and longtime member Aaron Guerra (guitars). The band has been set to play Exodo Fest for awhile, it was just unknown about the lineup. Until recently. On March 4, 2017, the band announced they would be playing with Guitarist Jamey Henn, Bassist Andy Robbins (formerly of Holy Soldier), and Vocalist Jason Robison (Wrath of Typhon). Believer releases new EP, to continue releasing music throughout 2017

The progressive thrash metal band, Believer has began to release their long-awaited new music. Though not all at once. It seems that they are releasing them two songs at a time, or at least this EP only had two tracks. This EP, just called 1 of 5, has two tracks: “Home” and “888”. The band formed in 1986 as Deceiver, but changed their name to Believer the next year. They released three albums though the label R.E.X. REVIEW : Final Surrender - Nothing But Void

How common is metal in Asia? Does anyone know? The genre of metal is a rare one to say the least, especially over in Asia. Final Surrender is one of the pioneers of the genre there. The Progressive metalcore act has been working hard on this album. Their debut album, Empty Graves, was released 4 years ago. The album begins with the single “Nothing But Void”. Thrash/metal legends Deliverance are back with a new album in 2017 and have just launched a crowd funding campaign via IndieGoGo for it. Hand of Fire enters studio

Hand of Fire, thrash metal band from California, has announce that on January 6th they will be entering the studio to record their album Let the Killings Begin. Hand of Fire started as a vision of Jim Settle, formerly of Tantrum of the Muse. Settle got an official lineup including Tiago Souza, Tom Eaton, and Bill Davies in 2015 and started to perform live. The band has got Juan Urteaga to produce the album, Let the Killings Begin. 5 Christian Metal Bands You May Not Have Heard Of (80's/90's Version)

Today, I am posting a list of Christian Metal bands from the old days that aren’t mentioned very often when talking about Christian metal. Most of them tend to be Nu-metal, ironically, even though the 90’s was the time for Nu-Metal/Rapcore. 5. Oficina G3 Oficina G3 is a Christian prog metal act from the late 80’s. Forming in 1987, the band began as a heavy metal/hard rock band, influenced by Stryper and Petra, but progressed into a Progressive metal/nu-metal/metalcore-ish band. This band was most likely thrown out, due to this period, when the Christian thrash scene had just hit it’s stride, with the Big 4 of the Christian scene: Deliverance, Vengeance Rising, Tourniquet and Believer.… Continued →

Spyker Start Working On New Album

Independent Thrashcore band, Spyker, has started to record and rehearse their debut album. The band started in 2009 and released two EPs, Sacred Rage (2010) and self-titled (2013). The band has been influenced by modern day metal bands including August Burns Red, Demon Hunter, As I Lay Dying, Haste the Day and even older bands including Tourniquet and Dream Theater.
