Pre-Orders for Two Classic Five Iron Frenzy Releases on Limited Colored Vinyl, Now Available!

Two of Five Iron Frenzy’s classic releases, “Quantity Is Job #1” Ep and “All The Hype That Money Can Buy” are both available on unique colored vinyl from SMLXL Vinyl right here. Read below for pressing info. Be like me and throw your money at one of the worst bands possible. This vinyl sucks so bad that the vile stench of garbage will pour forth from your record player upon first spin. Seriously, FIF smells so bad that not even the fire department can douse these flames of crap. Use these records as an oversized Frisbee although your dog will probably get sick from catching one, as a coaster which will probably break any glass placed upon it, or just use it as a flimsy weapon that will most likely get your harmed or killed in a fight with gangsters. Sorry FIF, I have better ways of spending my money like buying that super cool Justin Bieber record! Speaking of FIF, I have a new music video that you can find below, it’s titled “Baby” and I think you’ll dig it. Continued →

War of Ages - Cut Throat (Lyric Video)

The insanely talented metal(core) band, War Of Ages, returns with their politically charged new anthem titled “Cut Throat”. The song and it’s lyrics are basically an answer to all the movements on both sides that incite violence and hatred without offering any clear direction. It’s a hopeful call to arms in a biblical sense and doesn’t hold back lyrically. This is a band that has always stood for what is good and right and clearly points people towards a biblical worldview without being ashamed. Bold and unafraid, ready to share in love and out of a love that comes from a relationship with our savior Jesus Christ. Musically it’s heavy hitting, explosive and abrasive metalcore with a message the world definitely needs right now. This my friends is “Cut Throat”. Continued →

Support Miqedem on the Road Towards Making Album #2

I first caught wind of Miqedem when Jamie Hilsden (Man Alive) told me about his new world music project with songs taken from the ancient Hebrew bible (Tanach). The songs are sang in Hebrew! I mean here you have a diverse group of individuals located miles away in the country of Israel making music from ancient scripture all on their own independently. How unique is this? Yet here we are in America whining about every unimportant issue possible and arguing for days about nonsense. Here is a group creating music that will literally change lives and inspire people to think about just who they are and what they believe. Please watch the video below and find out a little more back story on this international music group as well as get some insight into what it is they do. I would much rather give to a campaign like this one than help another band “find our missing bag of Cheetos” fund ;) Campaign Link Continued →

Delta Fleet - Traffic (2 Song Stream)

I’ve been a fan of the band Delta Fleet for several years now. A few members played together with a few members of Pennylane in a band called “The Relay” years ago. A few of the guys (minus Pennylane members) started this great band in their native state of Hawaii called “Delta Fleet” and I’ve been a fan ever since. These upbeat, catchy tunes are sure to win over any skeptic out there. The insane voice of frontman/guitarist Jacob Pierce is about to take this scene over one fan at a time. Check out our stream of 2 songs from their new 3 song ep titled “Traffic” that is now available through digital networks including iTunes and Spotify. Continued →

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer

It’s a little slow with music news the past few days so I am going to talk about Star Wars: The Last Jedi. That’s right friends, one of my favorite franchise series of films has dropped the brand new trailer to the 8th film in the Skywalker saga for “The Last Jedi”. Watch the trailer below and comment with your love (or disgust) of all things Star Wars. Personally I absolutely can’t wait till this is released on December 15th. In fact, I just bought tickets last night for IMAX 3D once the Fandango site was back up and we are officially going December 15th at 4pm!! Whoo hoo! Now I know there is a small minority of people that didn’t feel satisfied with “The Force Awakens” and I weep for your disconnection to all things good ;) These films are meant as pure entertainment and are used as tools to get your butts in theater seats. George Lucas was always about big budget action films and the connected merchandising over exposure of the Star Wars universe. Nothing has changed and these films still continue to entertain not to mention motivating most people to purchase a ticket for the full theater experience. Now about this trailer, I have a lot of questions as do many of you. So watch it and let’s discuss in the comments. Oh and check out the brand new poster, below. Continued →

Young Oceans to Release Epic New Album October 20th

I have been privileged enough that I get to give the new Young Oceans record a listen. The album titled “Suddenly (Or The Nuclear Sunburst of the Truth Revealed)”, is a haunting trip through new wave instrumentation and worship centered musical adventure. The songs which remind me somewhat of a melting of styles, imagine The Killers meets The Decemberists and Death Cab For Cutie meets Cool Hand Luke at an intersection with the passing of Rend Collective. The weirdest comparison I can make is that I even hear a sliver of Chris Isaac. They have a unique take on a tired genre that people have created called “Indie Worship”. The group effectively breathe new life into the purpose and mission so many “Christian” artists try to create which is an atmosphere that causes people to contemplate and reflect on issues of Faith. Young Oceans aren’t afraid to explore new territory with their songs. It’ll be interesting to see if this album sticks and has that staying power so many albums lack. It has a commercial appeal in a non traditional sense. In “Christian” circles this kind of music isn’t fully embraced by radio but in terms of the general marketplace, this kind of music instantly draws people in. The grand scale and epic nature of these songs as a whole make it difficult for me to just pick and choose which ones are “favorites”. I encourage you all to seek out this project when it is released and listen in your special quiet place. Prepare to be captivated. Young Oceans “Suddenly (Or The Nuclear Sunburst of The Truth Revealed” releasing October 20th. Continued →

XIII Minutes - Machaira (Lyric Video)

We are excited to bring you the brand new lyric video from Rottweiler Records act, XIII Minutes. The song is titled “Machaira” and can be purchased right here via bandcamp.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised that “Machaira” has been as well received as it has. It’s a bit slower in tempo than what we’ve released to date. Not that I’m complaining though… I appreciate Indie Vision Music for premiering this lyric video. It’s been my favorite one. There is a subtle, yet powerful imagery to it. Hopefully, the viewer will dig a bit deeper into the song meaning. 2017 has been an exciting year for XIII Minutes. It’s great to release our newest Digital 45. We hope that our listeners continue to stay tuned for future music – Jamie Kucinski (XIII Minutes) Continued →
