My Epic Continue to Forge New Paths and Make Fans of the Masses with New Song "Heavy Heart"

I have nothing but absolute good things to say about My Epic and the beauty of the music they create. This new song really hits me deep in the chest and is a beautiful testament to not only talent, singing, songwriting, and all that but also to the power of words and swaying of notes. This new song “Heavy Heart” by My Epic is quite possibly the best thing the band has ever done up until this point which is an enormous mouthful to proclaim considering expectations were always high to overcome the heights of past accomplishments.… Continued →

Noise Ratchet Announce Reunion Date at Furnace Fest and Till We Have Faces Re-Release on Vinyl

Noise Ratchet have announced their reunion by being added to the Furnace Fest 2024 lineup and they’ve also teased the vinyl re-release of their now classic album, “Till We Have Faces”, originally released by The Militia Group in 2002. The band would go on to record and release a follow up EP for The Militia Group before departing for a major and recording their ill fated full length with Rick Rubin which was shelved and has been in the vault ever since. I’ve heard it and it would have been the band’s finest work and on par with the biggest bands of the 00’s.… Continued →

Pennylane 20th Anniversary of "From Paradise To Parking Lots"

MySpace didn’t have a big enough reach and I was a nobody from Orange County with Indie Vision Music, trying to play with the big boys. This band – Pennylane, deserved worldwide acclaim and their live shows plus studio performances were a testament to that endearing appeal of music and message. These Hawaii gents that uprooted their lives to move to Portland, Oregon and chase their dreams was the very reason the record was titled “From Paradise to Parking Lots”.… Continued →

Homeplate Goes Hard, No really they do!

I’ve heard a pre-release, unmastered copy of the new Homeplate album and it GOES HARD! I wasn’t expecting this but I do love it and can’t wait till all our IVM friends stumble upon it. Even though this isn’t an IVM release, I can’t help but sing it’s many praises and send a little promotion their way. This is a more grown up Homeplate and a more heavy sounding album both from a production standpoint and their musicianship in general. It reminds me of “Chuck” era Sum 41 (and the latest album) meets Strung Out meets Four Year Strong meets old AFI with a little modern hardcore thrown in for good measure.… Continued →
