Years ago, I came across a band called The Wedding online and instantly fell in love with their music, every aspect of it. On their self-titled album and their sophomore release, “Polarity”, vocalist Kevin Kiehn did an amazing job on vocals, helping to make those albums quite memorable and still favorites of mine to this day. Sad news to report to you today. The quickly rising numetal/rock band Mayfly, have unfortunately called it quits. This was a band on the rise and had so much potential but I guess sometimes good stories have to meet their end. I wish all the guys the best and hope that vocalist/guitarist will continue making music in some capacity because he had a killer voice.

I first discovered Danen Kane through a mutual friend when I lived up in Green Bay. There’s a coffee shop that draws in bigger acts like Disciple and Flatfoot 56, but they also host open mics and local acts. I hadn’t heard of him before, but I was curious enough to check out his music online and liked what I heard. Continued →

New Jersey isn’t one of the biggest states in the country, in fact it’s one of the smaller ones. Despite that, it’s still large enough, in it’s own right, to inspire surprise that there aren’t more Christian musicians here who are willing and able to take their gifting beyond the four walls of the church. I’d like to thank our reader Shadi for sharing this awesome new artist with me. They are called Diamonds to Dust and their style ranges from Post-Hardcore to Rock and Metal. A totally refreshing take on a genre that has become oversaturated with stagnant sounds and a clone like circus. The band just released their new album titled “Aging of the Weary” through all digital networks and iTunes via Manifest Records. Check out their new music video for the song “Saturate” below. As we’ve come to expect, American Arson has unveiled a new video in preparation to the release of their Waymaker EP on March 31.
