Cool Hand Luke Campaign...34 Hours to Go and Stretch Goals!

There is just 34 hours left to go as of this post on the Cool Hand Luke kickstarter campaign. Even though they are 100% funded, there is still time to order (double) vinyl, CDs, and other merch plus he has put up “stretch goals” which include stuff like getting CHL to make a video for the song “Taking Chances” and a special Vinyl pressing of either “Wake Up O Sleeper” or “Of Man”, both of which would be incredible. Update: The “Red Smoke” FIF Vinyl of “Our Newest Album Ever” is now sold out. SMLXL Vinyl is on a roll lately with their fantastic vinyl releases. Today it has been announced that Five Iron Frenzy’s 2nd full length “Our Newest Album Ever” which released in fall of 1997 on 5 Minute Walk Records and includes my favorite song of all time, “Every New Day”, as well hits like “Handbook for the Sellout”, “Blue Comb 78”, “Banner Year”, “Oh Canada”, and “Most Likely to Succeed” is getting the vinyl treatment for the first time. Kevin Kiehn to release EP this Fall!

Years ago, I came across a band called The Wedding online and instantly fell in love with their music, every aspect of it. On their self-titled album and their sophomore release, “Polarity”, vocalist Kevin Kiehn did an amazing job on vocals, helping to make those albums quite memorable and still favorites of mine to this day. Mayfly Call it Quits

Sad news to report to you today. The quickly rising numetal/rock band Mayfly, have unfortunately called it quits. This was a band on the rise and had so much potential but I guess sometimes good stories have to meet their end. I wish all the guys the best and hope that vocalist/guitarist will continue making music in some capacity because he had a killer voice.
