Abandon Kansas have announced the two guest vocalists for their upcoming fan-funded new album. Shane Ochsner from Everything In Slow Motion (& Hands) is featured in a track called “Mirror” & Brianna Gaither will appear in “Anniversary”. The band is hoping to release the album in the May/June timeframe. Who else is looking forward to this record?

Michael Sweet has announced that the new Stryper album has been written & features 12 new songs & one cover. The band now heads to pre-preduction for a week & begin recording on February 1st. The album will release later this year via Frontiers Records.
Tooth & Nail have signed We Are The City out of Vancouver, BC & will re-release the band’s latest album titled Violent on March 24th. Watch the video for “Baptism” below. Orange County punker Doug Jutras has released an acoustic his solo debut EP titled Miss That Walk through Thumper Punk Records. The three tracks are a mix of rock and blues over a musical foundation rooted in a lifetime of punk rock. Check out the EP below via Bandcamp or pick it up on one of the major digital music outlets.
Yesterday, alt-blues rock band little hurricane released a music video of sorts. The song is “Upside of Down” and is set to a handful of behind the scenes clips of the band’s tour life. They are currently taking suggestions for their next touring locations. “Upside of Down” was featured on the band’s sophomore album Gold Fever which was released last Spring.
The 2015 K-Love Fan Awards Press Conference at the historic Franklin Theatre is going on live now via Youtube. You can stream the event below. I’m not sure how we missed out on these guys but do yourself a favor & check out the ambient alt-rock of Seattle’s Verlaine. The band features several familiar faces including Dan Cole (Forever Changed), Jonathan Young (The Myriad), Kevin Woerner (twothirtyeight), and Jonathan Wood (Drypoint). The band released The Open Sea last April & are currently in the studio working on new music.
The Hotshot Freight Train have begun work on followup to the 2012 breakthrough release, “Get Low”. For those unfamilar the band is made up of Christopher Isaacs (Blood & Water), Brad Hagmann (Blood & Water), Matt Hagmann (Blood & Water), & Eric Martin (I Am Empire).

The band is made up of Brad Davis (Reeve Oliver), Nick Maybury (Future Of Forestry & Something Like Silas) and Luke Floeter (formerly of Future of Forestry), & Spencer Kim. Punk rawk band MxPx released a new music/lyric video last week for their song “Stay On Your Feet”. The song was featured on the band’s ninth studio album Plans Within Plans which was released nearly 3 years ago.

After losing most of the members (Kevin, Dave, and Jason) that took part in the re-imagining of Audio Adrenaline two years ago, AA’s Facebook is teasing a new project. The picture simply teases the band’s name, Spring 2015, and S.O.S. written in morse code. This will be the first new music with vocalist Josh Engler (formerly, Abandon).
