Furnace Fest 2023 Comes To Close

By in News | 2 Comments

Well, Furnace Fest 2023 just wrapped and has come to a close. Although I wasn’t able to attend myself in person, I was able to check out some live performances online that looked killer. I see that Drain was a highlight for a lot of you as was sets from Turnstile, MxPx, Chasing Victory, ZAO, Living Sacrifice, Ghoti Hook, The Insyderz, Terror, Bane, and many more. HolyName looked like a highlight as well, bringing in their heavy worship to a crowd that probably wasn’t there for it as much. Very heartfelt and emotional. The Insyderz brought some Detroit Ska to a hardcore fest and some people loved it. I didn’t see very much from Relient K but hopefully it’ll be up soon. Haste The Day looked fun. I would say that I am very envious of the crowds at MxPx and Turnstile because they looked massive. Anyone catch Pennywise or The Bouncing Souls sets? So much fun for all of you. Now let’s break it down a bit. What were your favorites and what did you love most about the fest. What do you want to see next year at the last Furnace Fest (end of an era)?

Tons of great shows the whole weekend, one of the best festivals I’ve been to. Relient K, Anberlin, Becoming the Archetype, Haste the Day, and A Plea for Purging were highlights. But Tommy and HolyName were something else entirely. Really hard to describe other than to say God was glorified that night.

Super bummed I couldn’t make this but excited for all the bands and fans. I hope this transpires some new material as well as upcoming shows.
