Propaganda should be dropping his new album, titled Excellent, in late September via Humble Beast. In a recent interview (watch below) he announces the apparently eclectic album features guests such as Sho Baraka & Joel Davis (Ascend The Hill). He will also be hosting the Unashamed Tour with the Reach Records crew this Fall.

As Phil would say; “Get Stoked!” Can’t wait.
^^ Lol, word. Altho i had no idea hes been in the game 15 years, considerin i just herd of him a few years ago, lol.
Same here. Did not realize that. He is definitely one of the best in the game though. I like that he does a lot of stuff with 116 as well as Humble Beast, High Soc, etc.
I absolutely love this guy. I helped do some promo for his show up here in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. And it was amazing!! He presents an amazing balance and poetic mixture of rich theology, political insights, stunning philosophy, and beautiful imagery. I’ll definitely get the new album.
One of my fave rappers/poets. Dude kills it.
I love all the artist on Humble Beast, sad that I only found out about most of them a few months ago. Definitely my favorite hip hop record label.
I heard about him from the world vision act:s and it was one of his spoken word thing so good.
Great interview I love that he listens to indie/hipster music haha, I’ll be checking out this cd when it drops!
^^ “Definitely my favorite hip hop record label.”- Thats a prety bold statement, considerin ive only herd of 3 of ther artists, but im not quite an up 2 date hip- hop expert eitha, lol.
They are very, very good. All of them, from the rappers to the producers. Check out the Citizen Aim album tribute, it is incredible, as is pretty much everything Humble Beast does. While Reach reaches (heh) for a modern, radio friendly brand of hip hop, HB kills the underground sound.
^^ I dont c that album on ther downloads page: http://humblebeast.com/downloads/
http://humblebeast.com/downloads/a-music-manifesto-download/
^^ Stil dont c it, lol. “Check out the Citizen Aim album tribute, it is incredible”, is wat he sed. Im asumin its the same album tho, since i read the description: “Themes: a collection of songs to commemorate the life and music of Citizen Aim”. Anybody know wat happened 2 him?
And on a related note, duz anybody else hav issues wit ther downloads afta ther imported into itunes? It seems like alot of these trax from humble beast r disorganized+ mislabed, mistagged, etc. I know these r free downloads n i shud b hapy wit it regardless, but its realy anoyin havin 2 tag+ organize alota the traklists myself, lol. Or am i just bein 2 nit piky? Lol.
Citizen Aim had Cystic Fibrosis, and he died a couple years ago.

Yep that’s it. It is a collection of his songs and some beats he produced. He died of Cystic Fibrosis. And I sometimes have troubles too.
JoshIVM,
Wow, and written by shameless no less. I duno how i mist that. That sux. Rip Citizen Aim!!
Iaya97,
Cool, thanx 4 the info. Ya, its anoyin+ time consumin, but o wel. I mite just make a playlist of each album, that way its easia 2 organiz the trax in propa orda.
@Iaya97 I couldn’t have said it better myself. I like the more unique and organic feel to the albums music & lyrics whereas Reach records (which I also like but not as much) are the more radio ‘pop’ version of hip hop.
Not that that’s bad, I just have been digging Humble Beast artists recently such as Beautiful Eulogy, Braille, Art Ambidextrious, and Theory Hazit. Courtland Urbano is a very cool producer/musician, his stuff is pretty refreshing in the overproduced rap market.
I mean I still like other rappers out there like Lecrae, heath mcnease, playdough, and swoope
I’ve yet to check out KB, that’s on my to-do-list
Alert, Prop’, Odd Thomas are my Humble Beast jam.
And they released this album a couple years ago, and while it’s not on the site anymore, it’s KILLER: http://milehighdivine.bandcamp.com/album/pnd-dirty-words
Just have to re-order the tracks like so: 11, 7, 10, 5, 1, 6, 9, 8, 12, 3, 4, 2 – that’s the order it was listed on the old Humble Beat Bandcamp page.
*Beast
Citizen Aim is from yuma az phil. i was friends with him back in that ATT days
That PND record is one of the best hip hop records ive ever heard
robshameless,
Ya, it all makes sense now, lol.
Thanks!!
This dude kills it every time. I saw him at a college outreach just last year and there were probably only 10-15 kids that stopped and watched. He was so cool about the whole experience and being able to be used by God.
