I have added a bunch of band tshirts, new band specific lots from artists like Dogwood, Forever Changed, Dashboard Confessional, Juliana Theory, Further Seems Forever, and so many more being added each day. There are quite a few “classics” to be found including sealed copies of Sagoh 24/7 first two (and only) releases (band featured members that went on to form Anberlin). I am seriously considering selling off my CD collection. I am interested in selling in bulk and not by individual one by one CDs. Groups of 25 CDs or more would be preferable. I have a lot more indie titles and other CDs that didn’t scan in through my app I use. I will add those titles at a later date. I have no more PS3 Games and the Vinyl is not for sale. These “Vinyl” were all scanned in over a year ago and I have collected quite a bit more in that timeframe plus some didn’t scan in for whatever reason.… Continued →

A really great article on the current explosion of the digital streaming marketplace and it’s subsequent takeover of standard music purchases can be read here (Billboard Article). It is interesting how much things have changed in the past decade and half. I remember the times of the pirates like Napster, Morpheus, Kazaa, etc. and how they threatened to undermine popular music. Then digital stores started popping up like iTunes, Rhapsody, eMusic, Amazon, Google Play, and many more. Facedown Records has announced something incredible cool called “Facedown LTD.” which is a subscription based vinyl plan. There are 12 Vinyl Records available from Comeback Kid, xLookingForwardx, War of Ages (2), For Today, Gideon, Sleeping Giant, xDeathstarx, A Plea for Purging, Hands, xDisciplex AD, and Figure Four. Keep in mind that these are rare and limited to just 250 of each album. Some of these haven’t been pressed to vinyl before and the others will be rare collectors items in a few years. This is an amazing article and I understand the sentiments so clearly. This is something that has weighed heavily on my heart too. I’ve made like minded statements around the web the past several years similar in ways to which this article is written. The notion that the passing legacies of once great artists seemingly gets forgotten, rings true in the hearts and minds of us aging fans and rockers. All those artists who’ve decided to call it quits over the past 30+ years (I can list tons of names) shouldn’t be forgotten or for their albums and art to go out of print.… Continued →

Apple quietly put an end to the (much loved) iPod Classic this past week. As you can see in their official store, it is no longer available for sale. That doesn’t mean you can’t find it for sale on sites like eBay, but for the rest of us I think we can safely say… RIP.
