INTERVIEW : The Apathy Eulogy

After seeing this fine acoustic band twice, and reviewing their CD, I sent them some questions and they were cool enough to answer all of them for us. And while somehow I missed that they had actually answered them, I finally found it today, so enjoy and more importantly go to their myspace and enjoy their music. Who are you, and what do you do in the band? Rob Kelly. Self proclaimed “breaker-of-strings”. I also play guitar and sing. Who else is in your band, and what do they do?Continued →

REVIEW : Festival Review: Purple Door 2006

Purple Door 2006 Festival Review 10:41, Sunday night. This is the first I have been home since Friday morning. The reason? I was at a music fest in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania known at Purple Door. Well, today I just went straight to church and then some other stuff, but still… I have been to Purple Door. I have seen new bands, I have seen stages torn down, and I have met Joel and Cory. And while I have told a number of you that this review would be short and to the point, as I sit here now to write, I realize that that was a horrible idea, and less people may read this for it’s being so long, but those who do read it will enjoy it more as I give you more details.… Continued →

INTERVIEW : Bernard

Interview with the band BERNARD Interview by: Joel Official buzz-band and one of the most pleasant surprises for me personally was the band Bernard. With cinematic grace and epic musical soundscapes they captivated their audience in the packed-out tent, shining like a light amidst thousands of bumper-car-core shows, the three-piece ambient-rock band Bernard blew me away. I instantly stole to the back waiting to meet up with one of the members for an interview. As soon as the main questions were done I turned off my recorder and spent another half hour just talking about our views on religion and the church, one of my most memorable conversations at Cornerstone 2006, here’s what I got for you guys: First, a word from an audience member.… Continued →
