MyChildren MyBride Announces New Music

It’s been a quiet handful of years for the metalcore group MyChildren MyBride. They’re last release is nearly 5 years old but thankfully, they’re not finished. They announced on their Facebook page there is new MCMB music on the way for 2017. Another interesting bit is the picture they posted containing only 2 members. MCMB has become a staple in the Christian metal scene over the last decade with the likes of Haste The Day, Oh Sleeper, and Demon Hunter. Their straightforward lyrics center around family, faith, and a topic they attack plainly – demonic oppression.… Continued →

REVIEW : Falling Up - Falling Up

Let’s talk about perfection executed through a concept album that never loses its flavor or mysteriousness. After announcing their break up years ago, Falling Up thankfully returned though transitioning into a studio band for the most part – rarely playing shows. From Fangs! back in 2009, Falling Up has made a consistent and indisputable case that they are the kings of experimental rock among the Christian music scene. Their final album, rightfully self titled because it encompasses the greatest of all their albums, is one to behold as a masterpiece.… Continued →

REVIEW : Decyfer Down - The Other Side Of Darkness

The North Carolina rockers known as Decyfer Down came back from oblivion with “Scarecrow” in 2013. It was a surprise of an album venturing into riffs and southern hooks that took heavy influences from vocalist TJ Harris and his previous band Fighting Instinct. The album was a sweet breath from what one might expect from the radio-ready rock group. Unfortunately, “Scarecrow” received mix reception and fell under too many radars. The good news is that they’re back with a heavier effort and look to be sticking around.… Continued →

Knowing that they’re entering the studio now, it’s looking like they’re going to keep the same pace moving forward.… Continued →

REVIEW : To Speak Of Wolves - New Bones EP

It’s been a very quiet handful of years for the North Carolina metal act “To Speak Of Wolves”. After releasing the thunderous “Find Your Worth, Come Home,” they vanished from the music scene with little having to say about it. Four years later, they’ve come back from the dead releasing an EP and a relentless touring schedule. It’s a worrisome thing coming back after so much time passing. Usually when bands take years off, they return with only a hint of what they once had simply because they lost the sound they used to call their own.… Continued →
