Song of the Day: Broken - Beautiful

Here’s another obscure band for ya! Broken released one LP on Mercy Street Records which had a small yet diverse array of artists: Real (Nu metal), Popcorn (rap), one of Seventh Day Slumber’s early releases & Salt (Southern rock). Broken has a hard hitting heavy rapcore/nu-metal sound. They released 3 songs to indie Christian rock/loud radio: Beautiful, Stand & Cage.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Weathered-Quick Tempered

Facedown Records indie rock band Weathered’s first & latest single Quick Tempered from their upcoming album lyrical content is simply some of the most profound lyrics that I’ve seen in a while. They seem to align with my favorite Bible verse that I have tattooed on my arm. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.… Continued →

Song Of The Day: As We Are-Paralyzed

So I had a chance to meet these guys while I was recording a sound byte from their record label owner for my online radio station a few years ago at Audiofeed Festival in Central Illinois. Wow, has their style changed. I would have classified As We Are’s (stylized sometimes as AsWeARe or just plain AWA) sound as pop punk, but with a rock twist a few years back when they came out with their self-titled EP.… Continued →

D-Gibby Kicks Off "Soulful Sundays"

Do you like to sometimes sit back and throw on some reaction videos on YouTube, seeing how others enjoy (or sometimes don’t) some of the same music you listen to? A favorite of mine that I check out often, is D-Gibby. He has some really great reactions to music I enjoy listening to, both Christian and secular alike.… Continued →

Introducing Rockfest Radio

Rockfest. The name is carrying more and more clout as the days pass, and rightfully so. Founded by Seventh Day Slumber frontman, Joseph Rojas, Rockfest kicked off as the City Rockfest Tour that would showcase both up and coming bands as well as more seasoned acts, all pretty exceptional. This year’s lineup will feature Righteous Vendetta, Seventh Day Slumber, The Protest, Random Hero, Zahna and Amongst the Giants.… Continued →

Indie Vision Music Hits Billboard Radio Charts

Earlier this year we were stoked to learn that IVM had several artists charting on the Billboard Christian Rock Charts for Radio Play. Mainframe, Grandpa Loves Rhinos, Light The Way, and Craig’s Brother all had songs on the charts throughout much of the year. It went a little quiet past few months until a friend alerted me to this last week’s chart showing Grandpa Loves Rhinos and Names Without Numbers both landing a spot.… Continued →
