REVIEW : Show: Last Chance To Breathe Tour
After driving through pouring rain for an hour or so after all of us had worked all day we made it to Syracuse. The venue, a small coffee shop called The Empty Cup, was hidden down an alleyway, which we found fairly easily. Parking, on the other hand was not so easy to find but after a few times around the block we got our spot. It was the first time I had been to this venue, though I travel to Syracuse often for concerts. After arriving I found out the show wouldn’t be starting for another hour or so, which was annoying since I had specifically wasted time on the way up knowing that it most likely would not start on time.… Continued →

Concert Review
Artists: Copeland, The Hush Sound, Daphne Loves Derby, Safari So Good
Venue: The Champion Ship, Lemoyne, PA
Date: 30 September 2006
Review by: Eric Pettersson
Disclaimer: My personal enjoyment of this show was increased exponentially by the fact that it was a date with my girlfriend, but I will try to write from an honest clear perspective without letting that taint this review.
After much driving back and forth on Market Street, we eventually followed some emo sticker covered cars down a driveway leading behind an office building to find The Champion Ship.… Continued →

REVIEW : Purple Door Festival 2006
I was excited to yet again be attending Purple Door Festival in Lewisberry, PA this summer. It has become a usual summer ending endeavor for myself and whoever I can get to go along. This year 5 of us attended. Leaving early afternoon on Friday we headed out on the 2 1/2 drive, first stopping at our hotel, then heading into the fest. This is the first time I’ve attended the Friday night concerts. The lineup for this year’s first night was better than last so we decided to spend a little bit of extra cash for a hotel.… Continued →

REVIEW : Skillet/Decyfer Down Concert
Upon hearing that Skillet & Decyfer Down would be playing only 15 minutes or so from where I live, I figured I would check it out and write up a live review. I had never seen either of the bands live, and I like to try to catch most bands I listen live at least once if possible. I had been planning on hitting up the Silver Bullet Tour that was playing a few hours away but I got the dates mixed up and they both fell on the same night.… Continued →

JoshIVM: Please give your name and what position you hold in Fireflight.
Dawn (Fireflight Vocalist): Dawn, lead singer
JoshIVM: Could you give us a short history of Fireflight and how you came to be a part?
Dawn: Fireflight started in 2000, when Glenn Drennen (Guitarist) decided he wanted to start a band. Glenn’s wife Wendy was an obvious choice for bass. One day Justin, whom Glenn knew from high school, walked into the music store Glenn was working at. They started talking and Glenn found that Justin was interested in being part of the band.… Continued →

Genre: Punk Hardcore (a dying breed)
Oh, the wonderful fast paced hardcore we have all come to know as “punk hardcore”, oddly enough the screaming vocals is all that make it “hardcore”, but the rest of it seems to be more on the punk side. Anyhow this is a dying breed of music now these days, but the band xLooking Forwardx (don’t be an idiot and pronounce the “x”s, they are there for toughness) tries to revive the almost completely gone scene.… Continued →

When singer Jason Gleason suddenly left Further Seems Forever a few years ago, fans were crushed, and I know that I thought I would never hear his voice again outside of the How to Start a Fire album. REVIEW : Spacepilot "Grab Your Coats"
Artist: Spacepilot

Review by: Eric
Forgotten Arrival was one of the bands on the old Indie Vision Music label, and when they broke up after the label ended, Andrew Coughlan and Randy Felten decided to continue making music together, but it was going to be different this time. While Forgotten Arrival was had more of basic alternative/ emo rock feel, their new effort, Spacepilot explores the experimental side of indie rock, but without getting so experimental that they would turn off listeners.… Continued →

After seeing this fine acoustic band twice, and reviewing their CD, I sent them some questions and they were cool enough to answer all of them for us.
