Martin Smith (Delirious?) New Album "Dancing In The Fire" Out Now

I somehow missed this album and any news about it earlier this year. I had just discovered some recent songs from the album, “Dancing In The Fire” by former Delirious? frontman – Martin Smith a few weeks ago and just had to share. Listen to one of the new songs from this album (out now), below. The song is titled “Until The End of Time” and is a perfect introduction to not only Martin’s music but also a certain discover of the intersection between Faith and art.… Continued →

Song of the Day: The Festal Shout - Pounding Waves

The Festal Shout is a street punk band which reminds me of Flatfoot 56 or Hanover Saints. If you want to read a cool review see this article https://www.indievisionmusic.com/reviews/festal-shout-tumultuous-noise-ep/ . The bands name comes from Psalms 89: 14-18 ESV Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you. Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O Lord, in the light of your face, who exult in your name all the day and in your righteousness are exalted. … Continued →

Stephen Christian - Awaken (New Song)

Stephen Christian releases his 2nd new song titled “Awaken” off the upcoming album, “Spirited”, due out on BEC Recordings soon. Some people may not like the straight up worship oriented music of his solo work but as long time Anberlin fan (and Stephen Christian vocals fan), I love it. Hopeful and positive music that is much needed during this prolonged period of darkness our world is experiencing. Song can be found below or on your favorite digital network.… Continued →

SoCal Harvest 2021 on October 3rd at Angel Stadium of Anaheim

The annual Harvest (Crusade) event is back and is a one day event taking place October 3rd at the Angel Stadium of Anaheim here in sunny Southern California. The event is FREE like always (additional parking fee by the stadium) and will feature music by For King & Country and Phil Wickham plus a message by Greg Laurie. I’ve gone to many of these over the years dating back to the 90’s and they are always a special time spent in worship, fellowship, and sharing with those that maybe have fell out of love with God and/or the Church as a whole.… Continued →

Celtic Worship - Come Thou Font (Official Music Video)

I stumbled upon this really unique and different sounding “worship” oriented music, hymnal focused group out of Scotland called, “Celtic Worship“. Don’t let the cliché Scottish name fool you, this is uplifting, inspiring, and played with a strong sense of passion, driven by quality musicianship. The vocals are soaring and the instrumentation is out of this world. I received a press release a few weeks back and like with many I just wrote it off as more of the same.… Continued →

DENS - Foolish (Tamed Tongues Sessions)

DENS released an absolutely stunning reworking of their 2020 full length, “Taming Tongues”, and re-released it as “Tamed Tongues” earlier this year. As you may have guessed, this too would further cement the band’s place among among some of the best bands in the music scene today. “Diverse” doesn’t even begin to tell the whole, complete story. You really have to experience all 4 of the band releases to understand the complexities, the melodies, the words, the worship, and the heart beat that keeps this band spinning.… Continued →

HolyName Could Be The Biggest and Most Important Music Act of Our Time

What seemingly began as a solo project of sorts for Tommy Green of Sleeping Giant, HolyName is likely to become one of our music scene’s most important and dare I say, “influential”, acts in a long time. The music hits you in all the right spots, digging deep into the most hardened of hearts. The emotions swelling up between heavy, chugging guitars, thundering drum beats, and soft, soothing vocals building into this sort of adrenaline fueled, aggressive, and violent (sounding) worship music that you’ll never hear at a Church on Sunday morning.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Then It Ends - It Is Well

Rising from the ashes of 2 other bands (one of which A Past Unknown has been played on a few Christian radio shows, including Ohio’s RadioU), Iowa’s Then It Ends is a metalcore band that has some great melodic stuff. Besides their most awesome energetic Kingdom which has profound lyrics (Someone else already beat me to a quasi review on July 3, 2014!), their rendition of Bethel’s It Is Well is worship music with a metalcore twist.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Willet - You Are Not Just Holy

Another holy SOTD that belongs in my top 20 worship releases! Formerly known as Clearview, this hard rock band had some great songs such as Disaster, Wineskin & We’re Not Keeping This Quiet. Also check out the video for Searchlight which features American Sign Language. Hailing from Maryland, the 3 Willet brothers have since disbanded circa 2019. Members are still in the industry leading worship & filing & editing music videos. Check out these worshipful lyrics & the live video.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Addison Road - What Do I Know Of Holy

Addison Road is a pop/rock Texan band that had a 10 year span of releases. I was drawn to their singer’s (Jenny Chisholm) vocals that stood out among many female fronted bands. The rockier flair is not present though on today’s SOTD which is the last track to their 2008 S/T release. This is in my top 20 worship songs of all time. Check out these worshipful lyrics. I made You promises a thousand times I’d try to hear from heaven But I’d talk the whole time I think I made You too small I’ve never feared You at all, no If You touched my face Would I know You?… Continued →

Matty Mullins Releases New Song, "No Hold On Me"

Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire released a new song last night called “No Hold On Me”. If you haven’t already heard Matty’s solo material, it’s quite different from MMF and is much more pop/electronic. This one in particular has a pop/worship feel and what sounds like a choir behind him throughout the track. Good song, great message. Check it out below.… Continued →
