New Features at Indie Vision Music

[Update]: Ok, this should be the last update in regards to the new features and “GIPHY” integration. I have fixed it so everyone who comments will be able to post a GIF. Remember, 1st comment on IVM always has to be approved for user before comment goes live. [End of Update] Messed around a little on the site today and added some new features. You can now use “GIF” clips when making a comment on a particular post. Just scroll to the bottom where comment box is and click the little color box all the way to right called “GIPHY”, then select your favorite one, insert code (automatically selected) and hit “post comment”.… Continued →

New Spotify Playlists to Rock Your Day

I’ve been creating some recent NEW Spotify playlists that a few of you might appreciate. A new one called “Pop Punk 30” which is just that, a top 30 of the moment featuring a bunch of indie pop-punk bands we cover. There is also the “Indie Vision Music Official 2022 Playlist” that has a fair mix of brand new songs and classic hits from some IVM friends, “New Song Hits“, and “Pop Punk Essential Playlist“. On top of those, make sure to follow our profile here to take a listen to the weekly playlists that Noah Hardwick takes care of for IVM.… Continued →

20 Indie Albums You Almost Forgot Existed

This will be a series of posts based upon old “indie” (or ‘independent’ for the savvy) albums released over the past few couple decades collecting dust and cobwebs in the vaults of our devices (or computers for those living in the past). Check out these 20 Indie Albums You Almost Forgot Existed and maybe discover something old that is now new again? Enjoy.… Continued →

Indie Vision Music x Song Blast Playlist - Number 3 & Number 4

We are hosting a Spotify playlist series and this week I am combining #3 (Click Here) and #4 (Click Here). The overall goal of these is to increase exposure for some great independent talent and hopefully, get some hefty plays. I think with enough attention we can increase plays while also drawing attention to great independent talent who have something positive to say. These plays will not only help independent bands who own their music but also independent labels who rely on streams and purchases across digital networks (yes, including Indie Vision Music).… Continued →

Indie Vision Music x Playlist Blast Week 2

I got this idea from the whole Gamestop / AMC Theaters / Silver concept being run through Wall Street by savvy investors and reddit users. In this case we are hosting a Spotify playlist to increase exposure for some great independent talent. The goal is to get these songs to 100,000 plays. It’s a hefty goal but I think with enough attention we can get it done. These plays will not only help independent bands who own their music but also independent labels who rely on streams and purchases across digital networks (yes, including Indie Vision Music).… Continued →

Support Indie Vision Music With a Button

I am enabling the PayPal donation button here on Indie Vision Music. Since this is a self-run hobby inspired website run in my off hours away from work, the financial burden can sometimes outweigh the positive outcomes of this site. There are costs involved in operating IVM, little things but unfortunately they add up. There are still bills to pay. If there is anything IVM can offer in return, please let me know in the comments and I’ll gladly support the best I can. Even just $5 can go a long way.… Continued →

Best of 2020: Brandon Jones

Despite all the despair, hopelessness, fear, anxiety, death, destruction, and uncertainty that 2020 has thrown at us, we have all taken solace in our music and found hope through it. We are carried through the pain with messages of inspiration, songs of motivation, and songs that just plain electrified our souls. The following is a collection of albums, eps, and songs that were meaningful to me in 2020. Not all of the releases listed below are “Christian” but most of them rocked me to my core!… Continued →

Commenting on IVM Works Again

We (actually Fusse) have fixed the commenting feature on Indie Vision Music website and it works once again. It has been down for over a week with tons of comments going nowhere. Please return today and leave your comments below the posts that interest you. More content coming in the days ahead including a special look back at “The Top 25 Christian Rock Albums of 1995” that I’ve been slowing working on for a few months now. Thanks everyone!… Continued →

No word yet on whether a label will pick these guys up and release future tunes but stay tuned. For now, pick up Derby City EP on CD from IVM or your favorite digital network.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Leaderdogs For The Blind-Restless

One of my all time fave releases, Lemonade, was from a band released by the defunct R.E.X. Music. Forming circa 1993, the 4 band members had changed their name from Leaderdogs to add For The Blind. They blew Christian indie music lovers away with an industrial/hard rock hybrid with iconic songs such as Yellow & Black Attack (no, not the Stryper album!), Better Ways, Ripple & Supersaturated. They followed up with The Resurrect Me EP that included other the greats Pollinate & Lie You Buy. Then, boom, that was it.… Continued →

Indie Vision Music Turns 20

20 years ago I launched a site called IndieVisionMusic.com. It was initially an online Webstore only but then morphed into a record label then webzine then label and now all 3. It wasn’t a huge behemoth by any means (never was). I still run almost all operations myself in my free time when I’m not working or spending quality family time. I have a great team of skilled writers on the webzine side that work so hard to keep you all updated and filled with inspiring content.… Continued →

My Statement On The Movement

Greetings friends and fellow Readers. I just wanted to drop a few lines about the meaning behind my silence and lack of words regarding the protests, murder of George Floyd and Black Lives Matter. First off, I support freedom of speech from each and every side. Protests are a part of that freedom our grandparents, great grandparents, elders, and all those relatives of the past fought so hard to defend. I support the rights of those that want to stand up and get their voices heard.… Continued →

In celebration of the upcoming 20th Anniversary of Indie Vision Music I have decided to put a couple titles on wax. Through Kunaki and Vinyl Revolution a few titles have been given the green light for vinyl pressing. I am listing those titles below. Some are available to order now and more will be added soon. Click here to check out on Bandcamp. Please read below for further info.… Continued →

Indie Vision Music Introduces Light and Dark Theme On All Browsers

This week, Indie Vision Music introduced our very first theme switch design that allows you to alternate between “Light(side)” and “Dark(side)”. Pick your side and choose wisely! Kidding, but seriously this new theme switcher is pretty awesome. Just tried it on desktop Google Chrome and the “Light” one looks amazing. It works on both mobile or desktop versions of the Indie Vision Music website. I have long been wanting to switch up the site and offer the option of a lighter color so I feel as though this option is best move for us because it retains the original (2016) colors while also incorporating a lighter aesthetic.… Continued →
