Josiah "Verona" (2017 Remaster) Now Available on Digital Networks

The 2017 remaster of the now classic mostly unheard gem from metalcore band, Josiah, is now available on most digital networks. The album titled “Verona” was mastered with care and attention to detail by Seth of Simpul Studio. It’s louder, thicker, and beefier than ever. Vocals are brought front and center and it just sounds smoother than the 2004 version. I released this album 14 years ago on Indie Vision Music shortly before the label arm shut down due to a lack of motivation and funding. Thankfully IVM has been going strong since 2000 while navigating the many bumps and bruises along the way. Now with IVM back officially as of fall of 2016, I am ready to kick into high gear with the unearthing of these classics and some NEW digital/physical releases to come throughout 2017. Stay tuned! Pick up Josiah “Verona” on iTunes/Amazon/Google Play/Bandcamp etc and stream on Apple Music, Spotify, and others, now!
Also available: Dismissed “Taking The Good With the Bad” (2017 Remaster), and Light The Way “Grace”. Continued →

A Message to Our Readers: Please Comment

I have decided to come to your our readers for a little feedback on content here at IndieVisionMusic. If you’ve seen our twitter you may have noticed a tweet from myself about scaling back CCM coverage here. Our focus at IVM has always been on independent Christian artists/musicians/bands/songwriters and that fervor hasn’t changed since day one. Continued →

Staff Blog: Happy 10th, Dismissed

Happy 10 year anniversary to the Dismissed “Taking the Good With the Bad Album”, released in March of 2003 on Indie Vision Music. Not too many people know who this band was but they held a special place in my heart. I once saw them open up for Fall Out Boy to a venue of maybe 100 people max in 2003. It’s funny when you think of where one band went and the direction of the other band. I’ve learned a lot in 10 years but I still look back with fondness on those Dismissed guys and their music. RIP Dismissed. If you want to download Dismissed “The Complete Collection” click here or Kings to You “The Antidote” (name change after Dismissed) click here. Read more of my story, below. The Votes Are In.....

The Votes are in, Barack Obama has been re-elected as President of the United States of America. Whether you love him or hate him, let’s put all that behind us and focus on our Faith and Love for one another. I am personally glad to finally have breathing room when watching TV without being force fed all these different political commercials and ads. Continued →

Staff Blog - Brandon Jones: The Forgotten Classics

Today’s blog is mostly about those long forgotten “Classics”, the bands and/or albums that have been largely overlooked by a new generation (and those that follow). I made a post about this on my facebook page and I figured i’d elaborate on the subject here. Here is what was said: Even though some bands have enjoyed recent reunions (and success), there are numerous others that have been virtually forgotten. Our society moves at such a quick pace that some truly inspirational and innovative bands have been left in the dust. Why is it that the “industry” hardly looks back at what makes current music so great? I know that in the Christian market, there is barely any room for “Classics” and the trend is to keep progressing forward to the point that we forget where we came from. Every decade has some winners and losers but let’s embrace the past and remember the “once greats” for then we’ll know what makes us so great. Continued →

Pennylane - Riverside Waiting

Today’s Video Flashback is actually from one of the bands I worked with back in 2004. The band Pennylane from the great state of Hawaii released an independent “demo” that I really dug and thought it was catchy enough to re-release (and re-master) as “From Paradise to Parking Lots” back in the summer of 2004. The album quickly went out of print but you can download it here. Two members of this band went on to form The Relay, who are working on their debut right now. Singer, David Tamaoka, also released a solo ep a few years back that you can find on iTunes. Continued →
