Introducing: Slight Edge Effect

How many of you are fans of extreme metal bands that have solo projects totally not metal? Luke Weeks of As Earth Fades has a new project coming. But not a deathcore project. While the band is on a brief hiatus, Weeks has decided to do something in his spare time. He has recorded an entire solo album, titled Recorded Dreams, under the name of Slight Edge Effect. The project’s single, “Falling from this High”, will be available shortly.… Continued →

Support Miqedem on the Road Towards Making Album #2

I first caught wind of Miqedem when Jamie Hilsden (Man Alive) told me about his new world music project with songs taken from the ancient Hebrew bible (Tanach). The songs are sang in Hebrew! I mean here you have a diverse group of individuals located miles away in the country of Israel making music from ancient scripture all on their own independently. How unique is this? Yet here we are in America whining about every unimportant issue possible and arguing for days about nonsense.… Continued →

Delta Fleet - Traffic (2 Song Stream)

I’ve been a fan of the band Delta Fleet for several years now. A few members played together with a few members of Pennylane in a band called “The Relay” years ago. A few of the guys (minus Pennylane members) started this great band in their native state of Hawaii called “Delta Fleet” and I’ve been a fan ever since. These upbeat, catchy tunes are sure to win over any skeptic out there. The insane voice of frontman/guitarist Jacob Pierce is about to take this scene over one fan at a time.… Continued →

Craig's Brother Reach Fundraising Success Toward 5 New Songs

Craig’s Brother have reached a successful milestone in the pursuit of new music. They have now received enough donations to get Craig’s Brother in the studio to lay down 5 new songs!!! That’s right, we are all going to get an entire new ep worth of tracks. That’s not all, my goal is to see them double that amount so that we will either get 2 eps or a full length. Who here wants even more new CB songs? I know I do. You can contribute right here to the band’s self run campaign (band keeps 100% of donations) and you’ll also get something in return.… Continued →

REVIEW : The Ongoing Concept - Places

“Originality, I give up” screams Dawson Scholz on “The Print.” After two years since their last album, all band members leaving except for him, The Ongoing Concept returns with new members (Andy Crateau – guitar, vocals; Cody Rhodes – drums; Ian Nelson – bass) and their third full-length. I have an unpopular opinion to confess: I didn’t like Handmade all that much. Sure, it was beyond impressive that the band made their own instruments, and songs like “Amends” and “Unwanted” are very catchy, but I don’t find myself returning to the majority of songs. … Continued →

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer

It’s a little slow with music news the past few days so I am going to talk about Star Wars: The Last Jedi. That’s right friends, one of my favorite franchise series of films has dropped the brand new trailer to the 8th film in the Skywalker saga for “The Last Jedi”. Watch the trailer below and comment with your love (or disgust) of all things Star Wars. Personally I absolutely can’t wait till this is released on December 15th. In fact, I just bought tickets last night for IMAX 3D once the Fandango site was back up and we are officially going December 15th at 4pm!!… Continued →

Young Oceans to Release Epic New Album October 20th

I have been privileged enough that I get to give the new Young Oceans record a listen. The album titled “Suddenly (Or The Nuclear Sunburst of the Truth Revealed)”, is a haunting trip through new wave instrumentation and worship centered musical adventure. The songs which remind me somewhat of a melting of styles, imagine The Killers meets The Decemberists and Death Cab For Cutie meets Cool Hand Luke at an intersection with the passing of Rend Collective. The weirdest comparison I can make is that I even hear a sliver of Chris Isaac.… Continued →

XIII Minutes - Machaira (Lyric Video)

We are excited to bring you the brand new lyric video from Rottweiler Records act, XIII Minutes. The song is titled “Machaira” and can be purchased right here via bandcamp. I’ve been pleasantly surprised that “Machaira” has been as well received as it has. It’s a bit slower in tempo than what we’ve released to date. Not that I’m complaining though… I appreciate Indie Vision Music for premiering this lyric video. It’s been my favorite one. There is a subtle, yet powerful imagery to it.Continued →
