Forum Blue which is the new project of Ray Torres has begun working on their debut studio album. This highly anticipated independent release will probably slip under most people’s radars but that is purpose of IVM, to spread awareness about such indie artists and give them a platform. Lacey Sturm who is now a rockin’ solo artist (and former member of Flyleaf) has announced alongside the members of Skillet that she will be filling in for Jen Ledger on a few upcoming Skillet tour dates as a co-vocalist. Jessieville, Arkansas is about the last place on earth I’d expect to discover a new artist. I’ve been there, the entire town is comprised of a high school, a post office, and a burger shack. Yet much to my surprise that’s exactly where the progressive rock band Census comes from. The group started out as metalcore releasing an EP and a handful of singles. But with guitarist Ben Carey taking over on vocals the band has taken on a slightly different sound.
