Remedy Drive - Warlike (Official Music Video)

So this video was released back in January of this year along with their new album “The North Star” and I must say that it is a heavy hitter. I can’t believe I overlooked this release and didn’t give it proper promotion right here on IVM. Remedy Drive have created music that is deep and rich in content, overflowing with complex symbolism and a certain sense of urgency. You don’t come across music like this in Christian music scene all that often and I really enjoy this track as well as the album. For those looking for comparisons I would say I hear a bit of Switchfoot mixed with Jack White, Needtobreathe, The Black Keys, House of Heroes, and even a little Twenty One Pilots. Check out the video for “Warlike” below and purchase through all your favorite digital networks, streaming sites, or on CD from the band direct right here. They also have some items in their online store made by survivors of trafficking “T-shirts, bracelets, necklaces, elephants, boho pants and other items are handmade by survivors of trafficking and help fund organizations helping to rehabilitate and restore women who have been exploited”.

Altar Boys Release New Album "No Substitute"

Altar Boys have officially dropped their first new album in 25 years titled “No Substitute”. This new album is actually a collection of songs written after “Forever Mercy” and before they went on hiatus. The bare bones tracks have been re-recorded and freshened up for the world to hear. The songs run the style divide between their hit albums “Gut Level Music”, “Against The Grain”, and “Forever Mercy” while mixing in modern elements and a much fuller sound. It’s everything you’ve come to love about these legendary song makers and your expectations will be blown away. As much as I love those classic songs from the 80’s, there is just something special about the raw passion of a group of gentlemen coming to grips with their Faith, Hope, and age. This is truly timeless music and it doesn’t matter who you are or from what generation because these songs come from the heart. This album can’t be categorized or labeled as this or that, “No Substitute” is simply GOOD MUSIC. It’s rare for a band to maintain their legendary status for over 30 years and still come out swinging with the best of them. I can think of a handful of artists with or without the faith connection and to be honest some should have hung it up years ago. This isn’t the case with Altar Boys and as long as Mike and the boys still have a voice to share, nothing should stop them. Go check out “No Substitute” now on all digital networks. You can listen to the song “1000 Miles” below and I’ve posted the Spotify embed as well. Enjoy.

Brave Future Are One Of The Top Rock Bands of 2018 That You Haven't Heard

There I said it and it’s true, all of it. This relatively “new” rock band by the name of Brave Future as reemerged from the shadows to come out swinging in a big way this year. The band consists of former Sent by Ravens members and they play a sound in that same vein but in an even grander scope. Clearly said, this is rock n’ roll for the new millennium and the talent bleeds through with each beat, each chord played, and each note sung. The band has been releasing their new singles slowly since the start of the year. 4 songs total are now available for purchase/stream including the latest track “Repair”. REVIEW : The Protest - Legacy

The world  is full of grit, seriousness, and dark themes within media. Whenever something “fun” comes around, it’s a nice change of pace.  The Protest’s debut album on Rockfest records, Legacy, provides a Christ-centered, lighthearted yet heavy hitting album that’s perfect for some summertime head-banging. Squad 5-0 Begin Working on New Comeback Album, Say What?

With all these new reunions fresh in our minds and the rivers of nostalgia running deep, it was only time before the mighty Squad 5-0 came back and dropped a new album on us. According to the band’s official Instagram page (sorry I’m not aware of any Facebook pages that are current), they may be working on a new album and teased with like 1 second guitar clip. Whether or not this is true remains a mystery much like the band themselves. Let’s hope for one more rockin’ ruckus of a new album. The band last released “Late News Breaking” in 2004.

Blank Books (Aaron & Jesse Sprinkle) Announce Debut Ep

Blank Books a band that features world renown producer (and musician) Aaron Sprinkle and his legendary drumming/songwriter genius brother, Jesse Sprinkle, have announced their debut EP which is available digitally now and it is available on CD for pre-order right here. This is the band I told you about a few years ago and one i’ve eagerly been anticipating since Jesse shared a song stream with me quite a while ago. This band and its’ members have a quite a music pedigree so you can only expect the very best from these two. I can’t even begin to list off all the bands they’ve been in, a part of, and produced over the years. I am sure you can wiki it but I recall Poor Old Lu, Rose Blossom Punch, Solo work, Fair, Demon Hunter, Dead Poetic, Vekora, and so many more. In fact, if you have a list feel free to post it in the comments. [Thanks synnr sainte jebbeau for the news tip] Oh and listen below ;)

Stavesacre "MCMXCV" Now Available

So excited to announce that the brand new Stavesacre full length “MCMXCV” is finally here. Take a listen to the songs on all digital networks including YouTube, below. If you don’t have this Stavesacre album yet and aren’t listening to it right now then I’ve lost all faith in humanity ;) Seriously though, drop what you are doing and give a listen to the new album from Stavesacre, their first new music since 2009. It’s more than nostalgia and longing for past glory, this is a step above all the other “rock” records of 2017. It’s a beautiful reminder of the powerful impact MUSIC can have on one’s soul. For me this band has always held a special significance for me in my walk and contemplation on life. Mark Salomon is one the finest rock n’ roll vocalists to grace our music scene in the past 20+ years as he has fronted this band (and before with The Crucified). I still have the fondest memories of seeing these guys live back in the day even when all the crowds around us seemed more concerned with punk and ska. These gentlemen always captivated the crowd and my heart. Thank you guys for making the best album of 2017 and revitalizing the rock scene. I hope even more people will discover the magic of this band.

Stream: Stavesacre - Accelerating Into Brake Lights

I am very proud and humbled to present this brand new track titled “Accelerating Into Brake Lights” from the band Stavesacre off their brand new full length record “MCMXCV”. You can listen and stream the track below. Make sure to pre-order the new record here for all of you that couldn’t get in on the crowd funding campaign. I am totally floored with the new Stavesacre album. It’s everything I had hoped for when I first signed up to contribute to their campaign. There are so many rushed reunion campaigns these days and I’m glad the guys really took their time in perfecting their craft to put out their best material in a decade. It’s on par with some of my faves in their catalog like Speakeasy, How To Live With A Curse, Absolutes, Bull Takes Fighter, and even Friction. This band can easily kick the butts of any of the newer groups just setting up shop on warped tour. I really hope Stavesacre gets some long over due credit and respect with this new album because it is well deserved. This album is everything you’ve come to expect from this seasoned group of musicians and that is PURE PERFECTION! This album is like the perfect continuation of the sound from #HowToLiveWithACurse mixed in with sounds you would have found on #Speakeasy and #BullTakesFighterep I even hear the influential sounds of their first two records: #Absolutes and #Friction. Stavesacre has far outdone themselves with this incredible, awe inspiring set of songs. Flawless production, intelligent songwriting and that unmistakable voice. All you salivating fans that missed out on the first preorders will without a doubt LOVE this album once you get it.

Emery "Be A Part of Our New Bus" Campaign + Live Album

Emery have had their fair share of problems recently with tour vehicles breaking down but the band keeps pressing on like the solid road warriors they are. The band bought a really old bus and are currently in the process of renovating it. As you can see from the LIVE video they filmed yesterday, they still have quite a ways to go (no AC, and in the heat of West Coast). So this is where we call come in. The band has launched a little campaign via their website here where you can get an exclusive 17 track LIVE album for $25. This bus looks totally DIY and Punk Rock! Consider helping them today and keep them on the road so they can continue blowing up speakers all over the U.S. and beyond with their explosive rock n’ roll.
