I’m starting a new feature here at IVM that’ll focus on a beautiful, important, and defining song for a particular band. Let’s start this feature off right and put the focus on the music of Stavesacre, particularly the song “Gold & Silver”. I remember 20 years ago hearing this album (Speakeasy) which had this almost “ballad” like track named “Gold & Silver” then being struck in the heart heavily by it’s somber melodies, inspired lyrical delivery, and that unmistakable voice of Mark Salomon. So, it appears that everyone’s favorite east coast punk rockers – Huntingtons, have indeed returned for more than just a few shows on the nostalgia circuit. They are back and will prove just how capable they are at bringin’ the punk jams to all of us in a huge way. That’s right friends, Huntingtons are back and are working on their new album, their first new full length of originals since 2003 “Self Titled” album (Fastmusic). RED have just launched a large donation based campaign to fund the release of their next studio effort. Check out the campaign right here via GoFundMe and watch the video below. As of date of this post they’ve raised $45k of a $100k goal. This will be an independent release (so far). It appears thus far that this campaign will be a bit different than other campaigns on sites such as Kickstarter, IndieGoGo, Pledge Music, etc. in that you may not receive any “perks”. Americana/Country act Some Dark Hollow have returned with their 3rd release – “Out Of Darkness”, due out December 14th. You can listen to a song and preorder the album right here. This americana/rock n roll/country act have been making music for a number of years and playing a bunch of shows out of their Arizona home state. So this video was released back in January of this year along with their new album “The North Star” and I must say that it is a heavy hitter. I can’t believe I overlooked this release and didn’t give it proper promotion right here on IVM. Remedy Drive have created music that is deep and rich in content, overflowing with complex symbolism and a certain sense of urgency. You don’t come across music like this in Christian music scene all that often and I really enjoy this track as well as the album.… Continued →

Altar Boys have just announced a very special reunion gig and album release show for their long awaited new album “No Substitute”.
