A favorite artist of mine (and I’m sure many of you as well) by the name of NATE PARRISH, is returning with another new song “I’m Alright” and will drop it on April 26th through his current label home, Fair Vaux. I’ve heard the song and I absolutely love it! I believe it is one of his best, if not THE best song he’s ever made. Make sure to set a reminder for April 26th and stream/download this song wherever you get your music. Catch Nate Parrish on Tour this fall!… Continued →

Introducing: Feeble Attempt
I’d like to introduce you all to this really killer new melodic/skate punk project called Feeble Attempt. It features members of MEANS and The Holly Springs Disaster and has a huge sound that is going to please fans of all these old school melodic punk bands as well as new school stuff just dropping in the scene. It’s quite astonishing how much I enjoy this and the album hasn’t even dropped yet. Did I mention it features a whole line up of guest vocalists from bands you might recognize (Hi Josh from Dogwood).… Continued →

Minor Rockstar Releases New Song “Rise”
March 18, 2024, Santa Cruz, California. Minor Rockstar has released its new track “Rise” that builds off its recently released Wasted EP on Thumper Punk Records. Minor Rockstar’s latest track is an emotional reset on life, as it urges the listener to rise from darkness to light.
I’m getting back all the things that were stolen from me
A sense of hope, peace of mind and my dignity
Was living life cast aside, down and pushed around
I feel myself rising up now
Rise up, rise up, rise up, rise
Armed for war the goal is clear, no more fear
In battle we march straight ahead, does anyone hear?… Continued →

Too Bad Eugene "Battle Scars" New Album Out on Friday
The brand new 14 track Too Bad Eugene full length titled “Battle Scars”, is out on Friday. This isn’t really a review, more of just a quotable summary 😉 This sonic masterpiece finds the band at their absolute best playing songs that are slightly out of the box for TBE and tackling themes that keep them a few steps ahead of fellow punk rockers who seem more obsessed with just relationship drama and political retread. The sounds on this record are crisp, clear, and full of that thick bass feel that keeps a fullness in sound.… Continued →

Too Bad Eugene Get Divorced
Too Bad Eugene released their latest new song titled “Divorce Story” a couple weeks back that we neglected to post about (I’ve been busy sorry :(. This song is not autobiographical, it’s meant more as a play off of their song “Wedding Story” off their year 2000 debut “At Any Rate”. Check out this epic pop-punk, classic Too Bad Eugene song below this post. The band’s new album “Battle Scars” drops on March 8th via People of Punk Rock Records!!… Continued →

Song of the Day: Caustic Eminence - Corporate Christianity
Caustic Eminence was a raw, fast, hardcore punk band from Marion, IN. The band formed when they met as students at Indiana Wesleyan University. They released 2 demo cassettes before issuing the fabulous Another Day, Another Dollar 7″ through Cling Recordings in 1996. Not much else is known about the band other than their recorded output.
Their take on punk was fast and furious, raw and lo-fi, contrary to the gamut of pop-punk bands that were popular at the time, which were moving towards more sophisticated sounds and production techniques.… Continued →

So drop the January doldrums and seasonal blues and jam some of that new Heart Like War pop-punk action.… Continued →

Allan R Aguirre of Scaterd-Few Announces "Auditory" in 2024
Allan R Aguirre who was the charismatic frontman of world renown Christian underground punk band from the early 80’s-early 90’s called “Scaterd-Few” (along with Spy Glass Blue and Men as Trees Walking), is back with new music. It is unknown at time of this post whether it’ll be in band form or strictly solo work. The preview video I viewed mentioned “Auditory 2024” but also unsure whether that is the title of group/project. More news to come. The band Too Bad Eugene have just launched a new kickstarter campaign to help fund the finished recording and mix on the new album. I’ve already heard an early mix of a new song titled “Shaking My Fist At Clouds” and I must say, this is the absolute best the band has ever sounded. It’s an extremely catchy track with tons of melodic, fast punk rock, along with great sounding BGVs like the band has become well known for. Plus a great “Get off my lawn” yet entirely positive, lyrical content.… Continued →

Joey's Loss Potential Return?
Legendary east coast punk/post-hardcore band JOEY’S LOSS that many had never heard much of outside of their home state of TN. and some small Indie Vision Music promotions, are potentially staging some sort of return. Just what this means is unclear at this point and I’m not going to speculate but I do have a special appreciation for their musical output two decades ago. 20 years of “Unwelcome Travelers and Other Brave Men” is next year and could this be something to celebrate in a live setting?… Continued →

REVIEW : Teeth for Eyes - Teeth for Eyes EP
This punk rock supergroup features ex-members of Crux, Empty Tomb, Cicero, and Gov’t Hate Mail. So you can see why I was excited about hearing this disc. The EP contains 7 songs, clocks in around 17 minutes, and comes as a pro-CDr in a standard jewel case with a single panel insert with credits and no lyrics.
Musically what we have here is no frills punk rock and roll. It’s not quite as spastic as Crux, and doesn’t have the hardcore/thrash leanings of Empty Tomb. When comparing to its members previous projects, it’s probably closest to Gov’t Hate Mail, but just slightly heavier than that project.… Continued →
