New Archabald Album Out in 2018 Albuquerque, NM. experimental rock group Archabald has been teasing followers with a combination of cryptic posts, humorous polls, and poetic quotes. All this considered, a new album is in the works. It hasn’t been revealed exactly how far the group is into the writing process, but you can expect more news as time goes on. “Originality, I give up” screams Dawson Scholz on “The Print.” After two years since their last album, all band members leaving except for him, The Ongoing Concept returns with new members (Andy Crateau – guitar, vocals; Cody Rhodes – drums; Ian Nelson – bass) and their third full-length. I have an unpopular opinion to confess: I didn’t like Handmade all that much. Thrice did an interview back in July with OC Weekly about the recent reunion, the tour they’d been on, and new music they are working on. According to the article, the band have been writing new songs on this most recent outing with Rise Against and Deftones. They hope to put out this new new album in summer 2018 which will be the first proper follow up to last year’s incredible record, “To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere”. The spotlight should shine brightly on this new band called Voyagers out of Washington state. The band just released their debut single titled “No Consequence” (through bandcamp for name your price) and it is a refreshing take on the post-hardcore/indie rock genre. Smooth vocals that aren’t off tune, well placed bass, guitars, and percussion. I’m loving the bass heavy sound (at least on my stereo) and I feel these guys have a lot to say through their music and a sound that will keep them ahead of the pack.… Continued →
