REVIEW : To Speak Of Wolves - New Bones EP

It’s been a very quiet handful of years for the North Carolina metal act “To Speak Of Wolves”. After releasing the thunderous “Find Your Worth, Come Home,” they vanished from the music scene with little having to say about it. Four years later, they’ve come back from the dead releasing an EP and a relentless touring schedule. It’s a worrisome thing coming back after so much time passing. Usually when bands take years off, they return with only a hint of what they once had simply because they lost the sound they used to call their own.… Continued →

REVIEW : Memphis May Fire - This Light I Hold

Over the years, the name “Memphis May Fire” has become nearly synonymous with the genre commonly referred to as metalcore. Some love metalcore, some not so much, but regardless of your preference, it’s hard to deny that Memphis May Fire is one of the best the genre has to offer. From the guitars chugging away in dropped tunings, to the breakdowns, to the versatility of Matty Mullins’ vocals, the band offers a variety of things to love, and more recently, a few laid back tunes have even made their way into the band’s catalog, showing off their ability to maintain the listener’s interest with some slower, melodic, catchy material.… Continued →

Selfmindead Reunion

Selfmindead, Swedish metalcore band, has returned to the scene with what should be known as the classic lineup. I made that up, but it seems to hold true. The band announced they were reuniting for Brainstorm Festival, a music festival in the Netherlands, on November 12, 2016. The band has merch up for pre-order, with two options. You can pre-order here, and it will be available for pickup at Brainstorm Festival, and if you order here, the shirts will be shipped out soon. You may read the post and get more information on the concert and merch here.… Continued →

INTERVIEW : Come and Rest

Chances are you might not have heard of Come and Rest. The metalcore group out of Atlanta, GA, recently released a new EP called Blacklist. Discover more about Come and Rest by checking out their Youtube page and enjoy the interview below. IVM: This is Vince and I’m so glad to be joined today by Come & Rest.Continued →

REVIEW : Come and Rest - Blacklist

Come and Rest have crafted a great hardcore record. “Blacklist” has something for nearly everyone, be it in the form of diverse vocal delivery or hellish riffs, this album will be sure to emanate from metalheads speakers for some time to come.

REVIEW : My Ransomed Soul - Trilateral

This album shows immense growth from the group, along with an unharnessed potential for continued growth. In short, this is the album that won’t let me forget about My Ransomed Soul anytime soon.

REVIEW : BoughtXBlood - Restoration EP

Strongly proclaiming the Gospel message, metalcore band BoughtXBlood brings us their debut, five song EP "Restoration." Yes, the metalcore genre is saturated, but lets see if these guys from Lynchburg, Virginia can standout in the crowd.

REVIEW : Silent Planet - The Night God Slept

Silent Planet is a band that has been making some serious waves over the last several years. The group has shown extreme potential with their eclectic blend of artistry which merges the beauty and ambiance of mewithoutYou and the thick tone and riffing of Oh, Sleeper.

REVIEW : Fit For A King - Slave to Nothing

The band have recently released “Slave to Nothing”, the successor to record breaking “Creation/Destruction”. Can this album gain the band even more popularity, or will it kill all the momentum the band worked their tails off to gain?

REVIEW : Colossus - Badlands

Colossus’ sophomore effort, “Badlands” uses a very similar formula as “Time & Eternal” while still showing a natural progression and maturity. This is still the young and energetic band we all fell in love with on “Time & Eternal”, just more refined in every way imaginable.
