REVIEW : Nate Parrish - Soul Surgery

Nate Parrish creates music unlike the majority of “popular”, “mainstream”, “indie”, and/or “punk” bands of today. He takes his years of experiences, wraps them up in a 14 song epic arrangement, and unleashes it on a weary music scene ripe for hope and change. From the artwork to the song choices, you can’t help but feel the music running through your body and infecting you with nothing but pure positivity. I liken the music of Nate Parrish to music of yesteryear that spoke truth without boundaries and shared honesty in ways most of the modern day brethren are too afraid to venture out into.… Continued →

REVIEW : Light The Way - Long Story Short

Light The Way began in 2016 and started off releasing their fantastic debut ep, “Grace”. They followed that up in the following 3 years with – “Dude, Lame” (EP) in 2017, “False Memory Syndrome” in 2018, and “Dad Gang” (EP) in 2019. I’m proud to say I had the most excellent opportunity to be involved in the album release process for all of those releases. I will forever be grateful for the chance to live out my dreams releasing positive, faith-centered, pop-punk music with a strong message about hope, love, grace, and peppered generously with fun and witty lyrics.… Continued →

The Case For Heaven and the Story of an Immigrant Family Meant for Bigger Things

I’ve been moved lately to share this film (The Case for Heaven) and especially the story being told from the Sandoval brothers. In case you weren’t familiar, Gil and Mani were both founding members of a band called “Safe Haven“, years ago. They have had some songs on various Indie Vision Music compilations, and I had that special connection to their music. In fact some of their music will make it into this film. It has been years, but I believe I even saw them live with Olivia the band back in the day at Azuza.… Continued →

Names Without Numbers - You Do The Talking (New Lyric Video)

I’d like to shed new light on this recent new song from Names Without Numbers. The song is called “You Do The Talking” and it’s hard to argue that this isn’t the BEST song the band has done. The band without a doubt have a diverse sound yet are extremely melodic, with precise attention pointed toward addictive melodies, and unforgettable harmonies. They are an alt-rock band with indie roots clearly showing, not afraid to shy away from a certain pop like influence. They straddle the line between the raw, unfiltered power of a rock band set to storm the stage with power and fury, and a band clearly wearing their pop side on their sleeves.… Continued →

GFM - Framing My Perception (New Song)

GFM just dropped a brand new song which is their first for 2022 and as a part of Rockfest Records. The 3 sisters have found their sound and that sound is astounding, taking them to the next level. I’ve always thought these girls had it in them to record soaring music that would touch the lives of many but just needed a little extra push. “Framing My Perception” is that perfect push and if this doesn’t get played on radio or have their video shared, then tell me I’m wrong.… Continued →

Caedmon's Call Re-emerge From The Shadows to Drop Hints

Islander - Skin Crawl feat. Korn, ZAO, Living Sacrifice (Official Lyric Video)

This absolutely insane new song from the band Islander featuring a line up that’ll make you drool over, just hit in lyric video form. Not only that but the entire new Islander album released on Friday to much surprise and it hits HARD. Check out the song “Skin Crawl” featuring Brian Head Welch of Korn, Dan from ZAO, and Bruce from Living Sacrifice on really heavy new song that mixes a combination of genres and styles into a chaotic yet somehow melodic, set of songs. Islander “It’s Not Easy Being Human” is out now on all digital networks.… Continued →

April Fools, Are You There?

I would just like to take a moment before I start posting all these news stories from my home here in sunny Southern California, to say, hello, are you there? Seriously though, this April Fools may have gotten a bit out of hand in regards to the amount of Makeshift3 news stories and if you were offended just keep in mind, most of us have been severely affected by the sheer multitude of SPAM. This may be the very last post mentioning Makeshift3 on Indie Vision Music.… Continued →

Makeshift3 Added To Morbius Soundtrack

In a last minute attempt to boost sales numbers of tickets for Morbius this weekend, the band Makeshift3 were added to the soundtrack for the new film. They are unlisted and not credited but their music can certainly be felt in this anti-hero film starring the great Jared Leto. A rep for Sony/Marvel had this to say about the last minute addition to Morbius: “We were looking for the perfect music to add in at the end of the post-credits scenes. Right after the final scene shows, the screen turns dark then right before the workers begin picking up cold, stale, butter stained popcorn and cleaning that vomit puddle, the lights come on.Continued →

UnoriginalVinyl & Tooth & Nail Records Join Forces to Press "Fluorescent Black" On Vinyl For the First Time

In what seems like one of the most unlikeliest of all scenarios, well, it has somehow magically come to fruition. Unless I was caught up in some sort of unforeseen nightmare or tripped out from not having enough carbs on this KETO diet, or a lithium overdose, the very first pressing of “Fluorescent Black” by the darlings of punk-metal – Makeshift3, is a go. The beautifully handcrafted, time tested elements of this package will include the original album all freshly remixed by Tom Lord-Alge and mastered by Bob Ludwig.… Continued →

Members of Homeplate and Makeshift3 Form New Ultraband - Makeaplate365

There are moments in history that change things forever. Lincoln and the Gettysburg Address. Armstrong and the moon. Peter Griffin and the Chicken. The latest to be added to this list is the brand new ultraband comprised of members from 2 of the hottest up and coming punk bands – Homeplate and Makeshift3. When asked about the band, called Makeaplate365, Cody Thompson, drummer of now defunct “Homeplate” had this to say “It is a pyramid scheme. I’m really worried for my friend. Now excuse me while I hit this BBQ sauce.”Continued →

Nickelback Announce World Tour With Makeshift3

Nickelback will return to the stage again and this time they are taking out the band Makeshift3 for a string of dates, mostly at coffee shops and and church basements. Nickelback will be supporting their new “worship” record – “How The Bible Reminds Me” which features 12 very catchy, radio friendly tunes consisting entirely of melodies from “How You Remind Me” & “Photograph” but based on different bible verses. Makeshift3 are fresh off their new drum solo album “Fluorescent Cymbals” and will be touring it alongside their friends in Nickelback.*… Continued →

Nate Parrish Announces the "Hey Parrish, You There?" Tour This Fall

Nate Parrish will be heading out on the “Hey Parrish, You There?” tour with Makeshift3 this fall. Nate Parrish will be headlining, playing songs off his incredible new full length “Soul Surgery”. Makeshift3 will be supporting and comprised by a very futuristic collection of (ro)bots playing all the instruments. Just imagine something along the lines of the Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey end sequence. It’s be a very explosive evening and each date will be different from the one before.… Continued →
