The ladies in GFM just dropped their music video for the electrifying new song, “Framing My Perception” of the EP of the same name which just dropped yesterday. I’ve listened to the whole EP and I am beyond impressed with it. They are a young group of musicians but listening the EP you certainly can’t tell. One of the best if not, THE best, Rockabilly bands – The Altar Billies, featuring legendary front man, guitarist, and all around “seasoned” songwriter, Mike Stand, is back and with a new album titled “All In”. The song has lyrics that ring especially true and delivered in a poetic fashion with a subtle and somber sound featuring twangy guitar, deep upright bass, and killer drum section. I’d like to share a couple NEW Spotify Playlists I curated just for our readers and can be found below. They feature a variety of styles and are even separated by decade. There is plenty of 90’s and 00’s represented. I’ll work on some post-2010 stuff next as well as a “Heavy Music” one for everything year 2000 and above (there is plenty to choose from). An alternative pop-rock band by the name of “Caedmon’s Call” that got their start in the 90’s has returned for this special kickstarter campaign to fund the re-recording of their “Self Titled” debut record, make a film about it, and play a special show in Nashville. There are several stretch goals that have already been met and the final one at $300k will be to add a 3rd show on the West Coast (2nd one will be in Texas). Southern California based hardcore/thrash/punk band – xDOULOSx, just dropped 2 new songs. Listen to “Cycles” and “Shots Fired”, below. This is really great heavy hardcore thrash-punk music. Sounds amazing and has a certain classic sound mixed in with the new school. Kinda reminds me of a mix of Downset, Six Feet Deep, The Crucified, The Warriors, No Innocent Victim, Knocked Loose, and All Out War. Good stuff. Listen to both songs below.
