Broken Flesh has decided to add on Death List and Obliteration Guitarist Bryan Nikkel as a new Bassist. The band would then add on Bassist Kyle Fitzgerald. The band would announce that Kyle was departing from the band due to family reasons. They would then add on Bryan Nikkel, who had played with founding Guitarist and Vocalist Kevin Tubby in Death List and Obliteration.… Continued →

Kevin Kiehn to release EP this Fall!

Years ago, I came across a band called The Wedding online and instantly fell in love with their music, every aspect of it. On their self-titled album and their sophomore release, “Polarity”, vocalist Kevin Kiehn did an amazing job on vocals, helping to make those albums quite memorable and still favorites of mine to this day. After touring a bit following the release of “Polarity” however, Kiehn stepped down as frontman of the band and away from music for the past 10 years. According to a recent post on Facebook however, Kevin has announced he is currently recording a new ep that will be released this Fall.… Continued →

Tiger Drive

Tiger Drive (ex OceanSpeak) Release Debut Single

It has been a few years since OceanSpeak’s eponymous EP, sea the same. It was certainly a great step forward for gritty progressive indie, but the band unfortunately didn’t last too long. Tiger Drive stands as the rebellious stepchild of OceanSpeak. Though the groups share several members, the diverging style Tiger Drive displays on their first single is more akin to what we’ve grown to expect from Polyenso and Author – intelligent, ambient pop with groove sensibilities. Talk is cheap, so take a listen for yourself right here.… Continued →

Mayfly Call it Quits

Sad news to report to you today. The quickly rising numetal/rock band Mayfly, have unfortunately called it quits. This was a band on the rise and had so much potential but I guess sometimes good stories have to meet their end. I wish all the guys the best and hope that vocalist/guitarist will continue making music in some capacity because he had a killer voice. Continued →

Well it’s been awhile since I’ve wrote one of these. So I hope you all enjoy and I hope you check these amazing bands out! Go headbang! 10. Every Knee Shall Bow Every Knee Shall Bow is a death metal band that started in 2002, with brothers Drew and DJ Wibblesman, but didn’t get going until 2008, when their two younger brothers came of age: Cole and Shane. Two years later, the band hired their friend Chris Hull and recorded an EP titled Weary Warriors.… Continued →

Danen Kane - Flesh and Soul

REVIEW : Danen Kane - Flesh and Soul

I first discovered Danen Kane through a mutual friend when I lived up in Green Bay. There’s a coffee shop that draws in bigger acts like Disciple and Flatfoot 56, but they also host open mics and local acts. I hadn’t heard of him before, but I was curious enough to check out his music online and liked what I heard. His solo acoustic offerings were dripping with hints of soul. His lyrics were honest-yet-artful. Needless to say, I was an instant fan. Flesh and Soul, Danen’s most recent full-length, may have been released in 2015 but certainly warrants a review because, well, Indie Vision Music was down during that time and more people ought to know this Wisconsinite writes some some pretty great songs.… Continued →

Punk Never Dies - No Really, It Doesn't

Punk Never Dies, no really it doesn’t. We are led to believe that the flavor of the month is heavy metalcore/djent/hardcore/etc. and we know every little “Christian” label is pushing that stuff. I do love a lot of those bands but my passion has always been on the punk rock side of things. I never understand why the punk purists were so slow to embrace the poppier side and how come no independent (or major) labels have signed bands like this in the past decade.… Continued →

Brave New World

INTERVIEW : Interview with Parker Boles of Brave New World

Indie Vision Music: Tell me a bit about your music. What’s it called, what style is it, when you’ll be releasing some material? It’s pretty broad but should get the conversation going. Parker Boles: My music is a blend of post-hardcore, emo, and pop-punk, mixed in with some blues. The first material I’ll be releasing will be mostly covers, and the album that I am working on is 11 covers and one original, titled “Horizon To Horizon”. IVM: That definitely sounds like something I would enjoy.… Continued →
