Bring Anberlin Back!

While Anberlin remain as a much loved personal favorite and staple of my music diet, I can’t help but wonder if it has been just too short of time for a “reunion” to happen. What say you, is 3 years not enough time to have a full Anberlin reunion, tour, and album or should they wait a couple more years? I guess if Underoath can come back so soon, so can Anberlin. The members of Anberlin can all have their own unique spin off projects and solo stuff but nothing will ever compete in the same fashion with the mighty music of Anberlin.… Continued →

REVIEW : The Ongoing Concept - Places

“Originality, I give up” screams Dawson Scholz on “The Print.” After two years since their last album, all band members leaving except for him, The Ongoing Concept returns with new members (Andy Crateau – guitar, vocals; Cody Rhodes – drums; Ian Nelson – bass) and their third full-length. I have an unpopular opinion to confess: I didn’t like Handmade all that much. Sure, it was beyond impressive that the band made their own instruments, and songs like “Amends” and “Unwanted” are very catchy, but I don’t find myself returning to the majority of songs. … Continued →

Supertones show), as well as 2 surprise tracks from the PAX217 reunion show at the House of Blues in 2013. The Best of 1997: Favorite Hits From 20 Years Ago

Yep, the list you’ve all been waiting for (not really) is finally here. Feel free to offer up some laughs and critical remarks for the music I listened to the most 20 years ago. You’ll notice a heavy T&N presence and I just couldn’t help myself. There were a lot of albums and releases I found myself spinning back then and still getting plays today. I think that’s where this list falls in place, it’s the albums that had the longest lasting impact with me and had a catchy sound that I just couldn’t get enough of.… Continued →

I Still Dream - Broken

This deeply personal song titled “Broken” from solo artist I Still Dream, is a true heart tugging track inspired by James’ personal trials with the loss of his father a year ago. Check out the song below via SoundCloud. Lyrics can also be found below. This isn’t the typical “solo” song you’d expect. Raging, aggressive guitar work, screaming out in agony, and yet held together with the threads of Faith interwoven throughout the song. This deeply personal track is sure to win over new fans all over the globe.… Continued →

Bands That Ended Too Soon - Far-Less

RIYL: Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Microwave, Kids in the Way, The Classic Crime In 2001, before anyone in the Tooth & Nail community and crowd realized, one of the most under appreciated bands formed for an 8 year existence. Far-Less put out a total of 2 EPs, 2 full lengths, and one final EP that was never released. Bands that ended too soon, Far-Less, it’s your turn. When Far-Less was signed, they were actually signed to Solid State Records. That’s a testament of how heavy they once were.… Continued →

Pennylane 2017 Remaster Coming Soon + Tape Release

I have decided to revisit the much adored IVM Release from Pennylane titled “From Paradise to Parking Lots“. Seth Stephen of Simpul Studio is working on a digital remaster of the original files (before it was mastered for CD release back in 2004). This 6 track 2017 remaster will go live in September sometime. I am decided to cut the 3 “Live” tracks from this remaster and just have the original studio files as they were intended to be heard. I am also going to get new artwork designed for the album cover and possible limited tape release of this Ep, the first physical print of this Ep since the 2004 (out of print) CD.… Continued →

According to the article, the band have been writing new songs on this most recent outing with Rise Against and Deftones. They hope to put out this new new album in summer 2018 which will be the first proper follow up to last year’s incredible record, “To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere”.
