Song of the Day: This City Awaits - Hold Still

This City Awaits is comprised of Phillip Ivey & Darah Hubbard. They are a rock band with metal influences & have released a few albums. The band even did a livestream back In February. I love their song White Ambulance, but chose Hold Still as the song lyrics relate to what I am currently going through- “Will I pass this test with dignity?” I also added the livestream. Continued →

Song of the Day: When Hearts Fail - It'll Be Alright Guy

When Hearts Fail was a metalcore band that was signed by Red Cord Records which seemed to be the “Christian” subsidiary of Victory Records. I have always liked this song & it means a lot to me when I am going through things with the reminder that it will be alright because I know my Saviour Jesus is bigger than my problems. The band seems to have disbanded with members joining another band called Arcomplex. Riyl: any clean metalcore band. Continued →

Your Chance to Die announces release date for "Ex-Nihilo", releases new song

The death metal/deathcore band Your Chance to Die has some exciting news. They recently announced news that the album artwork, release date and tour dates were coming soon. The band started several years ago in 2007 with founding members, Missi Avila (Vocals) and Coca Avila (Guitars). The band has been on Red Cord Records up until 2016, when they signed to Dave Ellefson’s label EMP Label Group. Their new and third full-length album, Ex-Nihilo will be released on April 21st. I Cry Wolfe - Adequate

REVIEW : I Cry Wolfe - Adequate

While nothing new, I Cry Wolfe accomplished their goal of spreading happiness by making me smile a few times on their debut full length “Adequate”. The best part is they still have a lot of time to grow and mature, which should allow them to continue evolving their sound in the future.
