Names Without Numbers Make Their Return
Nebraska/Iowa based Post-Hardcore/Old School Emo band Names Without Numbers, have made their return known. The band has played quite a few shows this year including a recent gig with Stryper. Names Without Numbers has a show on December 11th with Spoken and Dayshell in Omaha, Nebraska at Lookout Lounge (see flyer below). The band formed in 2000 and has played a distinct blend of (old school) emo and fiery post-hardcore mixed with a special blend of alt rock for good measure. Arms for Elephants-The Laws That Guide My Feet
If you downloaded our most recent comp, “Hearts Bleed Passion, Vol. 6″, you may have heard this song. Definitely one of my favorites on it. Here’s a brief explanation of what it’s about from the band’s vocalist, Matt Evans:
” “The Laws That Guide My Feet” is kind of an anthem for people who feel lost and out of place. However, lyrically, it’s also a lot more than that. It transitions between various perspectives to illustrate a bigger picture. For example, most of the screaming vocals are from the perspective of satan…and most of the clean vocals are from the perspective of someone who is hearing both satan’s and God’s voice and doesn’t feel like they fit into either narrative.… Continued →

Christian metalcore band, See the Rise, has called it a day. Vocalist Josh Meyers posted a statement on October 13, 2016, talking about why the band has decided to end. See the Rise formed in 2011 with Josh Meyers, and a few others. In 2014, the band disbanded. In 2015, the band reunited with Josh Meyers, Guitarists Brian Elliot and Jason Law, Bassist Andrew Davis, and Drummer Kyle Zahorski. The band, as mentioned above, announced their disbanding.
