I am proud to introduce a new hard rock band to all of you by the name of RELENT. These guys are just starting out in San Antonio, TX. but they have a very professional, polished sound and yet are still independent. They have a powerful message and a strong spiritual center, sharing the truth of Jesus with a hurting world. Their sound is sort of a mix of Korn, Spoken, Papa Roach, Disturbed, and RED. You can purchase the band’s debut two singles “Rise” and “Surrendered” right here via iTunes. Thanks Jason Parker (Ex-Focused) for sharing this band with me
You need to check out this amazing band called Not Beneath from Ohio featuring ex-members of Narcissus, Outcry, North Meadow Park, and Vessel. Complex, technical, heartfelt and spiritual heavy metal. This is a band you absolutely need to give a listen to. Check out their debut full length “memento mori” below (or right here on bandcamp). If you are into early Becoming The Archetype you’ll love this. Thanks Marco for the recommendation!

I found this band today after browsing the New Vine Media instagram page. They are called Glowing Moses and are sort of a space rock, experimental indie rock band. I am introducing you readers to a new ep from Shake It Up. A few of you long time readers may recognize this project because we had posted about various singles in the past. Well Daniel Nothe and his band Shake It Up are back with their debut Ep titled “Everything That Makes You Wonder”. It is a spacey, garage rock type project that would please fans of 90’s bands especially those on Tooth & Nail back in the day. The production is surprisingly on point for an independent group and I am completely captivated by every song start to finish. Maybe I’m a bit biased because I just dig this sound and those classic bands. Digging the fuzz tone and shoegaze-like instrumentation. Check out this new ep below and be sure to stay tuned for updates on this project.

The spotlight should shine brightly on this new band called Voyagers out of Washington state. The band just released their debut single titled “No Consequence” (through bandcamp for name your price) and it is a refreshing take on the post-hardcore/indie rock genre. Smooth vocals that aren’t off tune, well placed bass, guitars, and percussion. I’m loving the bass heavy sound (at least on my stereo) and I feel these guys have a lot to say through their music and a sound that will keep them ahead of the pack. Please give these guys a listen and prepare yourselves for the sounds of Voyagers. RIYL: Thursday, Sparta, Thrice, Brand New, Jimmy Eat World, and DENS. More news to follow.
