Every so often a song will pique my interest from a new artist that seemingly comes out of nowhere. This new song “Follow” off the upcoming album from new artist Hallowell takes you on a spiritual journey through beautiful forest-like soundscapes and layered touches of pure magical joy. That’s the best description I can offer when explaining this new song from Hallowell. I could drop in the standard RIYL type sentence but really Hallowell is an artist all his own. Forum Blue which is the new project of Ray Torres has begun working on their debut studio album. This highly anticipated independent release will probably slip under most people’s radars but that is purpose of IVM, to spread awareness about such indie artists and give them a platform. You may not know who Fleurie is but there’s a good chance you’ve heard her voice before. The Nashville-based artist has had her music featured in a lot of TV and movies recently (The Shape of Water, Bones, and Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger to name a few). Archabald flirts with hardcore influences on their latest conceptual EP.

Moda Spira, the electro-pop project of Latifah Alattas of Page CXVI, has launched a crowdfunding campaign for her new album, due this fall. 2016’s self-titled release saw a hazy mix of synths, passionate vocals, and diverse songwriting. The upcoming album chronicles the unexpected end of her marriage and her journey through pain.
