INTERVIEW : Garrett Gutierrez of Rapture

On Tuesday night, I interviewed Garrett of the spirit filled hardcore band Rapture, from Los Angeles, California. Nothing Left (Re)-Releases "Hands of Death"

The metalcore/hardcore project Nothing Left has re-released the first song they released titled “Hands of Death”. The band started in October 2016, as a way to preserve the legacy of the Metalcore giants For Today. The band consists of former For Today members Ryan (Guitar) and Brandon Leitru (Bass, Guitars), Silent Planet drummer Alex Camarena and former A Bullet for Pretty Boy vocalist Danon Saylor. Rottweiler Records Announces 1st New Band: Thirteen Minutes

Rottweiler Records has announced their first or three new bands. The band is called Thirteen Minutes. The band is from Tulsa, OK and formed in 2016. Facedown Records Announces Facedown Fest 2017 Lineup

Facedown Records has just announced the lineup for Facedown Fest 2017. The festival has hosted many bands that were signed to other labels or the subsidiary Strike First Records, including Clear Convictions (Strike First), Comrades (ex-Blood and Ink), Bloody Sunday (Strike First) and several others. This year is the 20th anniversary of the label so they have had many of their prominent acts come join in or even reunite. LIV. Come out of Hiatus

The Christian hardcore/punk band LIV. announced that they have come back from hiatus. LIV. formed in December 2012 with members Matthew Salamante (Vocals), Jason Diaz (Bass), Ace Esguerra (Guitars), and Tony Esquivel (Drums). The band has released an album in 2015 via the Christian hardcore label On The Attack! Records, home to Dangerous Minds, Spirit and the Bride, and Rapture. These are some bands that were sort of popular, but didn’t get very far. Hopefully this sheds some light to the underground SFHC Scene or more appropriately, SFMC Scene. 5. Conveyer Starts Working on Third Album

The melodic hardcore band Conveyer has started to work on their third studio album. After the release of their Victory Records debut, When Given Time to Grow, the band has spent the last year touring, playing countless shows with countless bands, including Colossus, Comrades, Ghost Key, and many more. Church Tongue (Blood & Ink) Releases Debut Album, "Heart Failure"

Spirit-filled Metalcore band, Church Tongue released their debut album, Heart Failure, on October 22, 2016 on the Christian hardcore/metal label, Blood & Ink Records. The band, based out of Indianapolis, recently signed to Blood & Ink Records, started in 2012. The band released the single, “Medicine Breath”, via Lambgoat. Blood & Ink Records started in the early 2000’s with Christian metal bands, With Blood Comes Cleansing, Soul Embraced, Besieged and Christian hardcore bands, Blessed by a Broken Heart, xLooking Forwardx, Stars Are Falling, and even being associated with Christian metal bands, Figure Four, Clear Convictions, and legendary Christian metalcore acts, Strongarm and No Innocent Victim.… Continued →

See the Rise Call It A Day... Again

Christian metalcore band, See the Rise, has called it a day. Vocalist Josh Meyers posted a statement on October 13, 2016, talking about why the band has decided to end. See the Rise formed in 2011 with Josh Meyers, and a few others. In 2014, the band disbanded. In 2015, the band reunited with Josh Meyers, Guitarists Brian Elliot and Jason Law, Bassist Andrew Davis, and Drummer Kyle Zahorski.
