Introducing: Diamonds to Dust
I’d like to thank our reader Shadi for sharing this awesome new artist with me. They are called Diamonds to Dust and their style ranges from Post-Hardcore to Rock and Metal. A totally refreshing take on a genre that has become oversaturated with stagnant sounds and a clone like circus. The band just released their new album titled “Aging of the Weary” through all digital networks and iTunes via Manifest Records. Check out their new music video for the song “Saturate” below. Soul Embraced: New/Old Member and Shows
The death metal band Soul Embraced has come out of their hiatus and are making a new album. Today the band announced they were doing shows and put out a post asking where fans would want to see them next. Former Bassist Jeff Bowie has also announced that he has rejoined the band and is pulling “double duties”, with Soul Embraced’s labelmates Becoming Saints. So with that, I think it’s safe to assume that Jon Dunn of Demon Hunter is no longer apart of the band.… Continued →

Believer releases new EP, to continue releasing music throughout 2017
The progressive thrash metal band, Believer has began to release their long-awaited new music. Though not all at once. It seems that they are releasing them two songs at a time, or at least this EP only had two tracks. This EP, just called 1 of 5, has two tracks: “Home” and “888”. The band formed in 1986 as Deceiver, but changed their name to Believer the next year. They released three albums though the label R.E.X. Music and then went their separate ways in 1993.… Continued →
Bands That Ended Too Soon - Terminal
Terminal 1998-2006
RIYL – old school Anberlin, Dead Poetic, Jimmy Eat World, Number One Gun
In this new series, we will be bringing to light many bands that showed us a brief but bright gem of music before disbanding. This entry is about the Tooth & Nail band – Terminal.
Don’t let the years above confuse you, though the band was active for 8 years, they only had 1 full length release.
Terminal was a band that erupted quickly and died the same. In 2005, their debut and only album titled How The Lonely Keep released on Tooth & Nail Records.… Continued →

Lil' Dre Posts 4 Tracks Ahead of "Live Free" Release
We’re hard at work on our review of Lil’ Dre’s upcoming album Live Free, but you can already check out four of the tracks from this landmark album through Dre’s Soundcloud page.
Live Free is chock-full of powerful tracks, but this sample does include a few of my personal favorites (as you’ll read about in the upcoming review), like “Scottie Pippen,” and “P.O.V.”
Live Free will drop next week, but while you’re on Dre’s soundcloud, you can also stream his previous effort Homework, which we gave a 5/5, especially noting how “Dissertation” may be one of the most honest and powerful songs out there.… Continued →

REVIEW : Advent - Pain & Suffering
2016 was the year for comebacks. There was bands like Destroy the Runner, Hopesfall, and Advent. Advent has brought their A-game with their comeback. And they bring the pain with their new EP, Pain and Suffering. You could call it a “Revival”.
“Wind from the Valley” is the first track of the EP. The bass is thick, the guitars bring in the metal, while the drums are very hardcore style. Joe Musten’s vocals are some of the most violent vocals ever. “Wind from the Valley” sounds like a slower version of the band Nails.… Continued →
