REVIEW : K I D S - Side A
One of Flicker Records’ most beloved alumni bands have decided to not only get out of the way, but moreover, they have risen from the ashes like a phoenix (with a heartache) after nearly ten years since their last album was released. Never quite having one particular sound but always succeeding in the style they adopted, this band has done emo, punk, post-hardcore, and straight on rock n’ roll. Kids in the Way have become K I D S and Side A shows the band both evolving and maintaining some of their roots.… Continued →

REVIEW : Choirs Of Veritas – I Am The Way, The Truth And The Life
Choirs Of Veritas is a symphonic metal project that literally means “Choirs Of Truth”, symbolizing the union between music and the spiritual truth of Jesus Christ. Those Christian themes are made abundantly clear on their debut full-length, I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life.
The project was birthed from the mind of Davide Scuteri, keyboardist and composer, as an offering to God and from a desire to thank God for the gift of music. The album’s purpose is to unite both the love for God and metal music.… Continued →

Brandon CD Collection For Sale
I am seriously considering selling off my CD collection. I am interested in selling in bulk and not by individual one by one CDs. Groups of 25 CDs or more would be preferable. I have a lot more indie titles and other CDs that didn’t scan in through my app I use. I will add those titles at a later date. I have no more PS3 Games and the Vinyl is not for sale. These “Vinyl” were all scanned in over a year ago and I have collected quite a bit more in that timeframe plus some didn’t scan in for whatever reason.… Continued →

Kevin Kiehn to release EP this Fall!
Years ago, I came across a band called The Wedding online and instantly fell in love with their music, every aspect of it. On their self-titled album and their sophomore release, “Polarity”, vocalist Kevin Kiehn did an amazing job on vocals, helping to make those albums quite memorable and still favorites of mine to this day. After touring a bit following the release of “Polarity” however, Kiehn stepped down as frontman of the band and away from music for the past 10 years. According to a recent post on Facebook however, Kevin has announced he is currently recording a new ep that will be released this Fall.… Continued →

Tiger Drive (ex OceanSpeak) Release Debut Single
It has been a few years since OceanSpeak’s eponymous EP, sea the same. It was certainly a great step forward for gritty progressive indie, but the band unfortunately didn’t last too long.
Tiger Drive stands as the rebellious stepchild of OceanSpeak. Though the groups share several members, the diverging style Tiger Drive displays on their first single is more akin to what we’ve grown to expect from Polyenso and Author – intelligent, ambient pop with groove sensibilities.
Talk is cheap, so take a listen for yourself right here.… Continued →

Mayfly Call it Quits
Sad news to report to you today. The quickly rising numetal/rock band Mayfly, have unfortunately called it quits.
