Jeremy Camp Releases New Single, "Reflector"

We don’t often cover artists that are in the CCM mainstream, but this definitely warranted mention. It’s been years since Brandon has been pulling for a metal release from Jeremy Camp and up til now the closest thing I know of is a track called “Take My Life” off his debut release, “Stay”. That one, like this, is really more hard rock than metal. If you’re hesitant or skeptical, that’s understandable, most of his material tends to be fairly tame. But give this a listen, and see what you think.… Continued →

Sevendust's Clint Lowery Dedicates Band's New Album, "One" to Jesus Christ

Somewhere around a year and a half ago, Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery came to a place of faith in Christ. Since then, he’s been vocal about his newfound faith, encouraging others and sharing the hope we have in Jesus. When the band’s new album, “One”, was in the writing/recording stages, Clint had made mention that several of the songs on it would be faith-based and that is certainly evident. With the release of the album this past Friday, Clint shared the post below. Be sure to give a listen to the new Sevendust album (it’s insanely good) and keep the band in prayer.… Continued →

Introducing: Drown the Planet (New Single, "Liar // Traitor")

Drown the Planet is the band/project of Jason Wayne. While I’m unfamiliar with any other musical ventures of his, Drown the Planet is really something. There’s a fair mixture of genres I really enjoy to be found across his material on Spotify, from metalcore, to hard rock, to even some emo-ish stuff in there. The band/project just dropped a new track titled “Liar // Traitor” yesterday, which you can check out below, it’s pretty great! Be sure also to check out all the other material of his as well as the socials HERE.… Continued →

Happy PAX217 Day! Livestream Tonight!

Happy PAX217 Day! PAX217 remains one of my favorite bands to this day and I always find myself wishing we had more from them. Unfamiliar? PAX217 brings an eclectic mix of sounds throughout their library. Hard rock, reggae, hip hop…its a strong mix and often draws comparisons to bands like 311, P.O.D. and Earthsuit. According to the band’s socials media posts, a livestream is planned for tonight on Zoom (see below). You can find the link in the band’s bio. So blast some PAX nice and loud today and swing out for the livestream later!… Continued →

Song of the Day: Guardian - The Rain

Guardian (or rather Gardian as they first spelled it, or even Fusion as they named themselves to begin with) started out in the 1980s as a traditional heavy metal band and had morphed into a hybrid hard rock/alternative/groovy blues project by the time they finished in the early 2000s, changing their sound dramatically throughout their existence, though always in hard rock territory. However, along the way, they recorded quite possibly the best (or at least one of the best) glam metal releases ever put out by a Christian band (yeah, I said what I said–of course they’d have to contend with Stryper, Zion, Holy Soldier, Angelica and Whitecross for the top spot).… Continued →

Introducing: floodlit (Videos In Post)

Recently I was given a tip about a new(er) band called floodlit. One of the best tips in recent memory. floodlit is a Los Angeles based post-hardcore/metalcore band, in the vein of Thrice, Defeater, Norman Jean, Deftones, Emery, Saosin, Spiritbox, BMTH, etc. By the band’s description, heavy music for a heavy purpose.   To date, there are two singles titled “AMa” and “AKo” released with accompanying videos (see below). The tracks are a sampling of what’s to come when the band drops their debut album later this year.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Dustt - Moments of Struggle

Chilean band Dustt operate in the doom/stoner metal vein (the genre, not necessarily the lifestyle choice). They have been active at least since 2010, when their debut album Testigos de Dolor first released. An eponymous album followed in 2011, through Martyrdom Records. A remastered version was issued in 2012, as well as another album Refugio the same year. Both of the latter are available for digital download or streaming via Bandcamp (Dustt). I don’t know if the band is still active, but it would be great if they are, as there are not enough faith-oriented bands playing in this style.… Continued →

Top 25 of '25: Rob Jensen

All in all, I thought 2025 was a pretty good year for music! There were a few bands I’d hoped to hear some new material from and didn’t. There were a few I didnt expect to hear from whatsoever…but we did! Then, there were even a few new bands and artists I’d never heard of before who popped up on the radar and made some really great music! As we move into 2026, I most certainly have some big expectations for the new year, as I have for years and years prior, but will they be met?… Continued →

New Single From Chasing Victory, "Renegade"

Chasing Victory has done it again, dropping another new single titled, “Renegade” (see below). The track comes out swinging, but relents slightly in the choruses, making way for some really melodic vocal leads that are especially catchy. The vocals on this track sound amazing. The guys just might have plans for more music ahead, who’d be psyched for that??   Oh, and head HERE to get merch, updates, an d more from the band.… Continued →

Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D. Solo Project (2 Songs Drop)

Sonny Sandoval, known for fronting P.O.D. and founding the Whosoevers, has dropped two tracks ahead of the release of a full album under the moniker, “Sonny Dread”. “Sleeping Lion” is a full on reggae track, while “Talk To God” leans more towards hip hop, though not completely. It’s a tough track to describe using a particular genre, but on both of these, Sonny’s mic skills are on full display. Check these out and let us know what you think!… Continued →

Skillet Release First Christmas Song, "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" With Music Video

Today, Skillet dropped their first Christmas song (and music video), “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”. The track largely focuses on a beautiful, melodic sound befitting most Christmas covers, but then turns on the heat, providing what may very well be the heaviest part of any Skillet song to date.
