Socialburn are a post grunge band that reminds me of Day of Fire or Puddle of Mudd. I first heard the band on a Christian indie station. Hope you like this song as it is catchy & can get stuck in your head.

Gold Frankincense & Myrrh (stylized as GFM) is a metal band comprised of 3 sisters. With so much talent for being so young, this band has a great future & have put out so much music in so little time. This review is also in reference to my friend Blake who runs Reanimated Radio who likes this band as much as I do! This SOTD was hard to choose from my other fave Graveyard of Identities, but is because of its lyrical content.
S-M-I-L-E why don’t you smile for me
S-M-I-L-E now follow me
Go
What makes you think
You know what’s going on in my mind
What gives you the right
To think you can call this my bad side
How can you care if you don’t know the truth
Do you think everyone should be like you
Don’t make me wrong, don’t make me right
If I don’t wanna, I don’t wanna smile
Doesn’t mean that I’m not happy
Doesn’t mean that I’m half dead
Doesn’t mean that I’ve got issues swimming in my head
You don’t know the way I’m feeling or the way I live my life
Don’t tell me to, don’t tell me to smile
The look on my face
I’ve become your latest obsession
It’s safe to say
I think you’ve got the wrong impression
Okay, okay everyone settle down
Boys and girls are you ready
LuLu are you ready
I know I’m ready
Maggie are you ready, Maggie
Yeah

Wage War is a newer band in my collection. Disclaimer-They seem to be a quasi-Christian band as has had not too much recognition in the Christian market, but I have seen their videos that hint at the subject. Other bands that fall in the quasi category are Memphis May Fire, The Devil Wears Prada, Gideon, etc… Anyways, this song is so darn catchy & just happens to be one I can relate to. Just know that in Jesus, anyone can change if they let the Holy Sprit lead.… Continued →
Fireflight is one of the bands that each cd they have come out out with, there is always one that stands out the most to me. Dawn Michell’s voice is just so Today’s SOTD is just that coming from 2009’s For Those Who Wait. Also, check out the original version of Serenity The Call, You Decide, Stay Close, We Are Alive. I have not heard much of their latest so I will be checking it out soon. This song is literally the one on my Facebook page it is so good.… Continued →
Right off the bat, it’s loud and energetic. This is melodic, yet noisy indie rock, reminiscent of the classic 90s Britpop with hints of 70s glam (think the rock riffs of Suede meet the swagger of The Divine Comedy). But don’t be fooled, this isn’t simply nostalgic stuff, stuck in the past. There is a real energy and drive to this music that captures one’s attention right off the bat.
For those who don’t know, MrENC is Eric Collins’ nom-de-rock (formerly of Denison Marrs). Lyrics deal with the need for love and compassion—both the giving and the receiving—through the chaos and noise of life. … Continued →
