Song of the Day: Bloodlined Calligraphy - America's Next Top Model

Blo0odlined Calligraphy was a hardcore/metalcore band hailing from Michigan that featured a female vocalist> They went from Selah to Strike First to Facedown Records in a matter of 3 years. Vocalist Ally also plays piano, but this SOTD is straight up heavy. I remember Jaddeus from RadioU’s hxc show playing this son on his show & I have dug it all these years. Song of the Day: Fit For A King - Skin And Bones

Bam-this is hands down one of my fave songs of all time from a band that hails from the same town as another great (softer) band Eisley. This ballad just has some type of energy with its musical prowess & soaring vocals & provocative lyrics that makes me contemplate my life & relationship with YHWH. Song of the Day: August Burns Red - Chop Suey!

How many of y’all like covers? Well, ABR has done several & have made them into their own metalcore sound. Covering songs from Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Saves the Day & The Legend of Zelda, Nofx, tons of Christmas ones & now System of a Down, they are always welcome to my ears. Metalcore act August Burns Red have released their debut single off of their new upcoming album, Phantom Anthem, titled “Invisible Enemy”. The band has released a music video for it, made with puppets of all things. The album is slated to be released through Fearless Records on October 6, 2017. The track listing is:

The metalcore band DIRE, has a some exciting news! They have announced that they have signed to the label known as Sancrosanct Records. The label has had bands such as Remembrance (one member is now in Sleeping Giant) and Bloodlined Calligraphy. There is not much else to talk about the label. Nothing Left (Re)-Releases "Hands of Death"

The metalcore/hardcore project Nothing Left has re-released the first song they released titled “Hands of Death”. The band started in October 2016, as a way to preserve the legacy of the Metalcore giants For Today. Phinehas Remains a Three-Piece

The metalcore band Phinehas has announced they will remain a three piece, at least temporarily. Phinehas started in 2001, but the band didn’t really come to fruition until 2007. The band went through several lineup changes, ending on Vocalist Sean McCulloch, Guitarist Daniel Gailey, Bassist Bryce Kelly, and Drummer Lee Humerian. Phinehas Drummer Exits the Band

Phinehas, Christian metalcore band from California, has had a successful couple years. Last year they already released a Acoustic EP, titled Fight Through the Night. This year might be a bit rough on the band, though as Drummer Lee Humerian has announced his departure from the band. Humerian, alongside Vocalist Sean McCulloch, have been the main members of the band since 2007. Over the years, they gained Bassist Bryce Kelly (2012) and Becoming the Archetype Guitarist Daniel Gailey (2014), and this became the lineup most knew for the last 3 years.… Continued →

For All Eternity Start Work on Third Album

For All Eternity, the Christian melodic metalcore band, has started to work on the demos for their third album. After the release of Metanoia, the band hit the ground running. Scoring high in the charts, the album hit 23 in Billboard Christian Albums and 21 in Billboard’s Top Heatseekers Albums. The band teased the recording of demos on November 15, 2016. Demon Hunter to release "Outlive" in March 2017

Demon Hunter has announced that they are going to release their 8th full-length album, Outlive, in March 2017. The band formed in 2000 with brothers Ryan and Don Clark and Jesse Sprinkle on drums. The band then added on Jon Dunn and Kris McCaddon (ex-Embodyment, ex-The Famine) and the band progressed from there. Final Surrender Release New Album, "Nothing But Void" in India

Final Surrender, a Bangalore-based Christian folk/progressive metalcore band, took to the streets of India with their new album, Nothing But Void on October 26, 2016. The band formed in 2007, but didn’t progress until 2013, when the band released Empty Graves in 2013. The band released Nothing But Void in India only, but has a release date for United States and the rest of the world, released by Rottweiler Records. Spirit-filled Metalcore band, Church Tongue released their debut album, Heart Failure, on October 22, 2016 on the Christian hardcore/metal label, Blood & Ink Records. The band, based out of Indianapolis, recently signed to Blood & Ink Records, started in 2012. The band released the single, “Medicine Breath”, via Lambgoat. See the Rise Call It A Day... Again

Christian metalcore band, See the Rise, has called it a day. Vocalist Josh Meyers posted a statement on October 13, 2016, talking about why the band has decided to end. See the Rise formed in 2011 with Josh Meyers, and a few others. In 2014, the band disbanded. In 2015, the band reunited with Josh Meyers, Guitarists Brian Elliot and Jason Law, Bassist Andrew Davis, and Drummer Kyle Zahorski.
