INTERVIEW : Phil Chamberlain of To Speak of Wolves
We had a chance to speak with Phil Chamberlain for To Speak of Wolves in preparation of their upcoming album (out TOMORROW).
IVM: Hey Phil, thanks for taking some time to talk. 2016 saw the release of “New Bones” on Cardigan Records and “Dead in the Shadow” is coming up quickly. This all follows years of years of silence. How have things changed for the band, be it lineup, personal lives, or musical influences?
Phil Chamberlain: We took a few years off to pursue matters in our personal lives so when we got back together in 2016 we kind of exploded out a ton of music in a short amount of time.… Continued →
REVIEW : To Speak Of Wolves - Dead In The Shadow
To Speak of Wolves have been around for ten years and have now released 3 albums on Solid State Records. They are the pure definition of a sleeper band. Those who know them await every release because they know they’ve found a top quality metal band. Now, they’re coming off a thunderous return to the music scene with an EP last year, and a full length on their home label – Solid State Records. The sophomore album Find Your Worth, Come Home was and is an incredible piece of art that should hold a place near the top of Solid State’s most treasured albums.… Continued →

Go check out “Strength In Numbers” and the rest of the previous album, released through Roadrunner Records.

Love & Death recording for New Album
Love & Death, the nu-metal band, have finally started working on new music. And just as I discovered that J.R. Bareis has left Islander, alongside the other two non-original members of Islander, they have begun guitar tracking with ex-Red, current Breaking Benjamin guitarist Jasen Rauch. The band currently consists of Brian Welch on vocals, J.R. on guitars and Dan Johnson on drums. Bassist Michael Valentine departed last year, without any official reason. Bareis and Rauch have begun recording guitars for the album.

Stephen Christian Releases New Song "Trust" As Part of Pre-Order
Stephen Christian (Ex-Anberlin) has released an epic new anthem titled “Trust” that is rich in texture and a sonic powerhouse. This new wave influenced pop worship song is sure to make a fan out of anyone who loves Stephen’s unique one of a kind voice and lyrical boldness. I’d much rather listen to this new “Wildfires” album than the majority of stuff on Christian radio (sorry Christian radio CCM fans). Before you throw out the “cheesy” remarks or hipster dissatisfaction just realize that Stephen along with Anberlin, paved the way for so many bands to pick up their guitars, bass, and drums.… Continued →
