Family & Friends Sampler 3 is Now Live!

By in News | 11 Comments

The new IVM compilation “Family & Friends Sampler 3” is up now for pre-order (Digitally) right here on Bandcamp. In advance of the July 4th release date I am dropping a special full sampler reveal stream below. Check it out and let us know what you think about that new 7-10 Split jam. These two samplers serve not only as a special 18th anniversary celebration for Indie Vision Music but also as one of the final IVM compilations for the foreseeable future. Read more below.

What becomes of the IVM “label” is uncertain at this point. I am doing my best to fulfill obligations and promises I made to the bands this past year and after that it is more than likely I will cease operations as a Record Label. There will always be an Indie Vision Music on the internet and as long as I have fingers to type, ears to hear, and friends to chat with, there will be an IVM. I have over extended myself physically, emotionally, and financially. There is only so much one man can do especially considering I have a large family to take care of, full time job to manage that actually pays my bills, and somehow run this site. Managing bands, releases, packaging, shipping orders, maintaining the site, etc is a huge drain on my senses. Basically I am taking time away from my job and family to do this label thing which has taken on a life of it’s own. I’ve done this so many times in the past and always end back up at square one. It’s time for me just to take a step back and say enough is enough. So from this point forward and once the last few releases are put out, I will be devoting my time towards just maintaining the website as it is and making sure people have quality content to read. I’ll use my breathing room to hopefully re-work some things and get some great articles posted up.

Brandon, I’ve been a fan of IVM for years now. I don’t know how you’ve found the time to do this but I truly do appreciate it. So glad you are keeping the website going because I don’t know if I could take being without it again. Lol It is by far the best Christian music site around . I can only imagine how much more work it was keeping the label going. Also sad because the bands you were picking up are awesome! You definitely have a talent for it but I totally understand it just being to much… Read more »

Sorry to hear that the label side of things has not worked out. It must be a lot of hard work. It’s good to know when something is a bit too much – well done!

Love the site and have for over a decade.

Thank you, Brandon for the many years you have dedicated to the ministry of IVM! I started coming hear around 2009/2010, around the time Summer Slam Vol. 3 was released—which became my summer soundtrack that year, remained in regualr rotation through my first year of college, and exposed me to many of the artists I still listen to today. I have been to other Christian music news sites before, but none have been as dedicated to independent Christian artists as your site. I fully respect what you do, and appreciate that you are putting your family and general health needs… Read more »

I wondered how you were managing the label. Seemed like a ton of work! Cool to get some great albums out of it though.

Would love your thoughts, please comment.x
