Anberlin Tease Return?

By in News | 6 Comments

If Anberlin’s recent post on Instagram is any indication of an imminent “reunion”, count me as excited. I love this band and any mention of new music from them is certainly reason enough to justify a GOOD DAY. I didn’t really understand their breakup the first time (a hiatus would have been sufficient). Check out the post below and discuss among yourselves. Anyone game for more Anberlin music?

Anberlin shuttered way to early in my opinion. They did a great job of changing their sound subtly from year to year. I’m really pumped up for this if true!

I feel the same. I’m excited, but a band breaking up in this day and age, outside of having some kind of insanely nonnegotiable and potentially violent conflict between members, seems silly. Then again, Stephen has always been such a romantic, I can see the “allure” in breaking up. It’s way more dramatic! Hope to hear more from them soon.

They were so clear that they were still friends but they wanted to finish on a high rather than fade into obscurity and mediocrity. It was a shame but I’d be surprised if they do reform – especially when they explictly said they never would! People change but it’ll be a shock to me if we hear music from these guys again.
