Anberlin to Tour With The Almost and Watashi Wa This Summer!
Anberlin have just announced a very special tour commemorating 20 years of “Never Take Friendship Personal” this summer beginning July 31st in Jacksonville, FL. and wrapping up on August 17th in Indianapolis, with The Almost and Watashi Wa! Sounds tasty. It like this is mostly east coast and a few spot midwest dates so I’m guessing they’ll announce more dates for more states soon. West Coast needs this. View the flyer for this tour, below. Are any of you looking forward to this tour?

Michael W. Smith - Arms Around The Sun (Official Music Video)
Michael W. Smith is back with a brand new song and music video for “Arms Around The Sun”. It’s a lively, 80’s synth drenched, classic sound but filled with a modern touch and Michael W. Smith’s unmistakable voice. The lyrics are fire and this is probably my favorite thing by him in years. It really reminds me of his songs at the height of the 80’s/early 90’s sound he had going. I didn’t expect this in 2025 but I’m so glad to hear it. Check out the music video below and listen to the song on all your favorite digital networks now!… Continued →

Desolate Tomb to release new single on Good Friday!
Brutal deathcore band Desolate Tomb are set to release a new single on Good Friday. The timing of the release isn’t coincidence, as you can see by the title of the track, “Pierced on the Hill.” While still operating from a base of deathcore, the riffs and arrangements are closer to traditional death metal than ever–a fitting move for such a brutal topic.
Be sure to check out the Rottweiler Records page this weekend to download or stream the new song.

Song of the Day: FHTH - Carpathian Sunset
Electronica/EBM artist FHTH is a solo project of Slava Malinin of progressive metal band Angel 7. That, however, will give you little to no context of what to expect here. Where Angel 7 mixes proggy power metal with death metal (sometimes), FHTH is straight up electronica that leans in an EBM direction. There are no guitars or acoustical-based instruments, but there are some occasional harsh sounds woven into the catchy electronic dance music.
One thing the two projects do have in common is a high standard of quality.… Continued →

Ted Bond (Craig's Brother) Benefit Compilation Presented by Thumper Punk and Simpul Records.
Our friend Ted Bond, lead singer for Craig’s Brother, has been diagnosed with a form of lymphoma. Ted helps support his wife and three children as a musician, children’s math tutor, real estate agent and associate pastor at a small church, which are not the types of jobs that provide significant medical benefits. In order to support him, Simpul Records and Thumper Punk Records have teamed up to release the Ted Bond Benefit Compilation, an acoustic album featuring original new songs from 28 artists to raise money for Ted’s medical expenses.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Sleeping Giant - Blame it on the Holy Rollers
Over a decade after the advent of the first “Spirit-filled hardcore” movement, Sleeping Giant helped kick off a second wave of the movement, sometimes referred to as “preachcore.” There is now actually a third wave of Spirit-filled hardcore happening now, but that is a story for another day.
The first wave was spearheaded by bands like Southern California’s Focused, Unashamed, and No Innocent Victim, as well as Florida’s Strongarm, Cleveland’s Six Feet Deep and Arizona’s Overcome. Each of those bands featured different takes on the genre but what they had in common was a deep commitment to sharing Christ through the music.… Continued →

Hopeful. - Fractured Soul (New Music Video)
Hopeful. keep getting better and better, am I right? This is on par with anything the major labels have to offer and I can say that without any hint of cynicism or sense of irony and I say it in full confidence. No one is paying me to dig the sounds of Hopeful., I just legitimately enjoy this band and I think all of you will too. It’s rock music without all the sub-genres and unnecessary tags. Just great music. Check out this music video for their brand new single “Fractured Soul” below or by visiting YouTube at this link.… Continued →

NF Launches Controversial Surprise Collab With T-Pain
***April Fool’s Joke***
I’ll be the first to confess that I’ve never been the biggest NF fan. I’m very particular about what types of hip-hop songs I actually enjoy, and while I’ve seen friends jump on the bandwagon, I’ve never totally been sold on his songwriting. Then, there’s the matter of how overt he is about his faith in his lyrics – there’s no question that so-called Christian hip-hop has also become just another casualty of artists abandoning their faith entirely.
Of course, this brings us to today’s topic.… Continued →
Brandon Jones (IVM Founder/Owner) Visits the White House and Offers Advice to Trump and his Team
***April Fool’s Joke***
Brandon Jones otherwise known as the man with a plan, aka Nanny Doe, aka Founder and Owner of IVM, visited the White House over the weekend (see pic) to plan out how best to keep Faith based rock n’ roll aka Christian Music, alive and well into the next decade by incorporating his “Dominate” approach (inspired by the fine folks at Tooth & Nail Records in their ‘Dominate 98’ ad slogan) into the America First Agenda. Meeting with Trump and Musk, he felt that his lifelong passions could reverberate into Washington DC politics.… Continued →
KingdomCore Acquires Lambgoat, Becomes "KingdomLambCore"
***April Fools Joke***
In a brazen twist of fate and a battle of industry heavyweights, fast rising media company KingdomCore has acquired long running metal site, LambGoat. The new media empire will be rebranded as “KingdomLambCore” or KLC for short. New merch is quickly being created in time for Furnace Fest this fall including shirts, hoodies, patches, brass knuckles, nunchucks, lightsabers, as well as a festival exclusive 7″ of Beloved covering Advent covering Norma Jean covering The Chariot with the cast of Yo Gabba Gabba, titled “There is a Party With God in My Tummy”.… Continued →
American Arson Leave The U.S. and Rebrand as "European Arson"
***April Fool’s Joke***
A rather odd news story to report on but one of the utmost importance. At first it emerged as just another rumor but now has been verified through management. A much loved Facedown Records band and all around IVM favorite – American Arson, has made the jump to Europe to an undisclosed country and have renamed themselves as “European Arson“. It can be taken as a direct tribute to their new home or a firebrand sort of activism that just might get them sent back home.… Continued →

Nate Parrish Drops Music Video for "Small"
Nate Parrish just dropped a music video for his emotional and inspirational new rock ballad, “Small”. I’ve heard it described as somewhere between Sam Raimi and Wes Anderson but I definitely see some Michael Bay. Ok that last part is an over exaggeration but you get the point, this is a music video not to be missed. Video can be found below or on Nate’s YouTube channel. The song is available now through all digital networks courtesy of Fair Vaux Records.… Continued →

Introducing: Tenkiller
I don’t think we’ve covered this band at length in the past but what better a time than now to share some great new music. The band is called Tenkiller probably because a few members are from Tennessee and they are killer? Most likely not, but I consider them killer so there you go. Anyway, this new band might a have a few familiar faces and names coming from bands like For Love Not Lisa, Puller, Blenderhead, Spoken in Tongues, Chainsaw Kittens, and more, all shaping up the lineup for a new band that is more seasoned and talented than a lot of newer groups making a go of it.… Continued →

Song of the Day: King's X - Fall on Me
Along with the 80s alternative rock bands like U2, Midnight Oil, The Alarm, and Simple Minds, King’s X were the ultimate “Christians in a band” scenario. Despite numerous Christian labels and festivals trying to get the band on board, they always felt their audience was much wider. And yet, their lyrics always hinted at faith in bountiful ways.
Musically, the band often functioned as a ‘band’s band.’ They were praised and recognized by members of Pearl Jam, and tons of others as an influence. They played a strange mix of classic rock, funk, heavy metal, and alternative in a unique concoction of progressive metal that predated genres like grunge, alternative metal and even post metal.… Continued →

Seth Davey Releases New Song, "When My Mind Runs Back"
Seth Davey, formerly of Attalus, has released a new song, “When My Mind Runs Back”. The piano driven track speaks of how God remains faithful even in the midst of all our distractions, misgivings, when we act out, etc. He is always there, eager to welcome us back onto the right track whenever we go astray.
And this is far from the only release from Seth since Attalus. There is a treasure trove of music you can find on bandcamp, Spotify, and other digital retailers. Check out this track as well as his other music and leave your thoughts!… Continued →
Magdalene Rose Drops New Single, "Hey, At Least I'm Feeling Something"
Magdalene Rose, formerly of Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh, has dropped a new single titled, “Hey, At Least I’m Feeling Something”. Check it out below!
The track is pretty eclectic, featuring heavy guitars, some easycore/pop-punk feeling moments. This coupled with Maggie’s melodic, yet driving vocals make for an audible one-two punch sure to please long-time fans while garnering some new ones in the process.
But the heart of the song is found in the lyrics, which deal with the heavy subject of cutting. Very well crafted songwriting for such a weighty subject matter.… Continued →
Song of the Day: Sev Statik - Warning
Sev Statik (born Joseph Evans) is a hip-hop MC originally from Albany, NY. His credentials and discography run pretty deep. While most average listeners were first introduced to his music through his 2002 release on Uprok Recordings (a short-lived hip-hop label affiliated with Tooth & Nail Records), he had been active with Deepspace5 since 1996. The collective also included Labklik (featuring Listener), Ill Harmonics, and Mars Ill. Are you keeping up? To make matters even more confusing, Sev Statik has also recorded under the alias Stu Dent.… Continued →

Plead The Widow's Cause Release Heavy and Hopeful New Spirit Filled Hardcore Album
New Jersey based spirit filled post-hardcore band – Plead The Widow’s Cause, just released their brand new full length record titled “(Silver Glass Stare)”. The title of record is actually an excerpt from “The Lord of The Rings” by J.R.R. Tolkien. This is a heavy and metallic, spirit filled, post-hardcore, sometimes melodic, bundle of joy. This is a literal step up from the last record “Pain Split” and shows a band not afraid to stretch out their wings and experiment a little but at the same time drawing on past influences and classic hardcore sounds as well as some screamo 00’s tendencies.… Continued →
Anberlin Teases New Music
Anberlin have released a series of video clips over on their Instagram/Facebook pages with what sounds like new versions of songs off “Never Take Friendship Personal” and a date of 3/21. A video was just posted today with a clip of Matty Mullins (current lead singer of Anberlin and singer for Memphis May Fire) talking about re-recording “Paperthin Hymn” and that same date listed again. So either we are getting a re-recording of Paperthin Hymn with Matty on Friday or a whole album re-recording is dropping that same date.… Continued →
