It’s been a long time since the once main-stay metal act, The Showdown put out an album. In fact, it’s nearly been 7 years since Blood In The Gears was released. Feel old yet? Well something is going on and hopefully it means another album. On March 26, without warning The Showdown’s Facebook page went live. It was two members including vocalist David Bunton playing an acoustic version of We Die Young, a song from the classic rock influenced album, Temptation Come My Way. The post hardcore band Vagabonds has signed to Blood & Ink Records. The project formed August of 2013, and have released a split EP, and a single independently. The show this past Saturday night was an incredible experience. It was bittersweet in the fact that they put on a fantastic, entertaining, and emotional show while at the same time effectively ending their more than two decade career as a band. Earlier this week Humble Beast announced that it is now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Christian hip hop label label is known for giving away its music for free so the transition to a nonprofit is not too surprising.
