There are so many different types of Living Sacrifice fans. People who started listening from the beginning, and those who joined somewhere along the way. Fans who praise their experimental phase, those who prefer the -core era, and those who swear by the traditional metal era. Heck, I even know one guy who claims they only released one album (he’s a thrash fan), and all the others were recorded by imposters! The death metal band Soul Embraced has come out of their hiatus and are making a new album. Today the band announced they were doing shows and put out a post asking where fans would want to see them next. Former Bassist Jeff Bowie has also announced that he has rejoined the band and is pulling “double duties”, with Soul Embraced’s labelmates Becoming Saints. So with that, I think it’s safe to assume that Jon Dunn of Demon Hunter is no longer apart of the band.… Continued →

The “thug metal” band, Solus Deus has released their third EP, titled The Plague. Solus Deus started in 2012 as a project of members of Bleed the Sky and Chimaira. Later on they would hire Rocky Gray of the famed Living Sacrifice, Soul Embraced, and Evanscence to join the band. The band recently signed to the EMP Label Group, the label owned by Megadeth Bassist David Ellefson. The band released their EP, The Plague on February 17, 2017 via EMP. The death metal band Soul Embraced has joined Instagram with some exciting news! The band has a new album in the works. This is pretty exciting! The band started many years ago, in 1997, but broke up the year after. The band reunited in 1999 and has been active ever since. The band has released 5 albums; four through Solid State and Mythos through Rottweiler Records. The band’s last known lineup was Chad Moore (Vocals), Rocky Gray (Guitars), Cody Smith (Guitars), Demon Hunter’s Jon Dunn (Bass), and Living Sacrifice’s Lance Garvin (Drums).… Continued →

Becoming Saints just dropped their debut album, Oh, the Suffering on Rottweiler Records. Becoming Saints started in Arkansas in 2003, but ended in 2006, with Bassist Jeff Bowie most notably joining Soul Embraced. The band reunited in 2013, as one-off reunion, but later started back in 2014 as a full-time thing. The band, previously only released two EPs, now have their debut album released on Rottweiler Records, home to Grave Robber, Soul Embraced and Pantokrator. Physical albums are up for pre-order now.
