PAX217 announced on Facebook that we can expect their live album to drop in the near future (see the album cover above). They also released some info on what we can expect to see on it, such as 8 tracks from their set on June 3, 2017 at the 20th Anniversary (final) O.C. Supertones show), as well as 2 surprise tracks from the PAX217 reunion show at the House of Blues in 2013. I have decided to revisit the much adored IVM Release from Pennylane titled “From Paradise to Parking Lots“. Seth Stephen of Simpul Studio is working on a digital remaster of the original files (before it was mastered for CD release back in 2004). This 6 track 2017 remaster will go live in September sometime. I am decided to cut the 3 “Live” tracks from this remaster and just have the original studio files as they were intended to be heard. I am also going to get new artwork designed for the album cover and possible limited tape release of this Ep, the first physical print of this Ep since the 2004 (out of print) CD.… Continued →

Thrice did an interview back in July with OC Weekly about the recent reunion, the tour they’d been on, and new music they are working on. According to the article, the band have been writing new songs on this most recent outing with Rise Against and Deftones. They hope to put out this new new album in summer 2018 which will be the first proper follow up to last year’s incredible record, “To Be Everywhere Is To Be Nowhere”.
