Relent - Heavy (Official Music Video)

Relent have just put out an extremely powerful, truthful, and eye-popping music video that is revealing as much as it is a sad revelation of what goes on in the darkest places of humanity. The video centers around the horrors of sex trafficking and the evil desires of mankind’s perversion. Lust kills and destroys the spirit of so many but there is hope. Watch with the mindset to share and make changes.… Continued →

REVIEW : Relent - Heavy

Relent has been around and making music longer than most realize; most likely myself included. A 2 song ep in 2016, the Heart Attack ep (2019), the re-release of the Heart Attack ep (2020), with 2 new tracks, and now a full length, aptly titled, “Heavy”. And yes. Yes, it is. From the first listen to these guys a number of yrs ago, I was hooked. I’m a sucker for downtuned guitars with well constructed grooves, thunderous drums, and a mix of rapped/sung/screamed vocals.… Continued →

REVIEW : Relent - Heart Attack (Revisited Review)

A little over a year ago, I wrote a review for “Heart Attack” by new(er) nu metal band, Relent. Recently, the band has re-released the ep on Rockfest Records and so, I thought I’d re-review the re-release. Without looking back to the review done last March, let’s revisit “Heart Attack”, including the newly added tracks. I will say that since the initial review done last March, my love and excitement for the ep hasn’t waned a bit; it has longevity.… Continued →

The song deals with the subject of depression as well as addiction and talks about the hope we have to overcome it.… Continued →

REVIEW : Relent - Heart Attack

Sometime last year, Brandon was kind enough to introduce me to a band named Relent. At the time, the band only had a 2 song ep available called “Embers”, but it was more than enough to pique my interest. What we have in these guys is a what I’m going to call a new nu metal sound. Normally, when I’m putting together a review, I like to make comparisons to other bands to help give an idea of what to expect sound-wise, but here that’s a little difficult.… Continued →

Most Anticipated Releases of 2019: Rob Jensen

So, 2018 is behind us, another year on the books. After having put together a list of my favorite releases for the year, I decided to try going in the opposite direction and form a list of the albums I’m anticipating most in the coming year. Now, a bit of a heads up before we dig in; I am almost certainly missing some albums here. Some may have escaped my attention, and I’m sure there are more to be announced yet as well.… Continued →

Introducing: Relent

I am proud to introduce a new hard rock band to all of you by the name of RELENT. They have a powerful message and a strong spiritual center, sharing the truth of Jesus with a hurting world. Their sound is sort of a mix of Korn, Spoken, Papa Roach, Disturbed, and RED.… Continued →
