Song of the Day: Slick Shoes - Fulfilling

This band is cool. I remember seeing them back in the day & I was impressed. I’d consider them pop punk & they were one of the early T&N bands that I had collected. Chose this one as I always understood the lyrics. The life’s torn from you, there is nowhere to turn. You’re all alone, you feel hollow and empty. Nothing you do can suppress the heartache that you feel. The only strength you have is used to cry in misery.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Acceptance - Fire & Rain

Acceptance is a pop punk band from Washington state. I remember their song Different on mainstream radio back when emo ruled the airwaves in the early to mid 2000s. They had originally broke up in 2006, but reunited in 2017 & released albums on the label that I have always wanted to work for: Tooth & Nail. They have toured with Anberlin, Finch, Further Seems Forever & The Julian Theory all of whom I have seen live.… Continued →

Watashi Wa Are Back in 2022 and With a New Album

It’s quite Clear that 10 Years and Separating States are not enough of a Fleeting moment to Look at Watashi Wa, a band who has very much been missed. They may have lost a few battles but they’re certainly gonna win that war. Don’t count a good band out and they aren’t the wrong kind even in the slightest. It’ll take all of me but I’ll be cheering loudly for this band’s return to form.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Last Tuesday vs The Alarm - The Stand

Last Tuesday (pop punk) & The Alarm (new wave) hail from 2 different decades, but have great renditions of The Stand which was inspired by the Stephen King novel of the same name. Mike Peters (frontman for The Alarm) & Dave Sharp wrote the song & had this to say “This song follows the Christian doctrine that The Rapture, when Christ returns to Earth and believers are transported to heaven, will be a time of celebration.… Continued →
