I’ve heard a pre-release, unmastered copy of the new Homeplate album and it GOES HARD! I wasn’t expecting this but I do love it and can’t wait till all our IVM friends stumble upon it. Even though this isn’t an IVM release, I can’t help but sing it’s many praises and send a little promotion their way. This is a more grown up Homeplate and a more heavy sounding album both from a production standpoint and their musicianship in general. It reminds me of “Chuck” era Sum 41 (and the latest album) meets Strung Out meets Four Year Strong meets old AFI with a little modern hardcore thrown in for good measure.… Continued →

A favorite artist of mine (and I’m sure many of you as well) by the name of NATE PARRISH, is returning with another new song “I’m Alright” and will drop it on April 26th through his current label home, Fair Vaux. I’ve heard the song and I absolutely love it! I believe it is one of his best, if not THE best song he’s ever made. Nate Parrish returns with first new song since 2022. The song is titled “Bad Excuse” and it just released on Friday via his new label home, Fair Vaux. The Ohio band Pits are a band whose roots started in Panama. They are a hard band to list genre-wise, but I would say emo-pop punk-alternative esque. Appears they only released 1 full length & an 8 song EP on Angryson Records. This was the same label who released music from Neshamah & Aftertaste. The short lived Mono vs Stereo label picked up this SOTD for their The Revolution Will Begin in the Blink of an Eye 2nd comp. Too Bad Eugene have just finished recording their brand new album. The band will debut their new single on December 14th and you do not want to miss out on this song. I feel that it’s their strongest work by far and ranks up there with the best of the best in melodic punk rock. You like good music well then you’re going to sink those teeth in deep to this new song, and the album too I’m sure. I know this band doesn’t exactly fit under the banner of Indie Vision Music (Christian bands and the like) but I really enjoy them and this new (Debut) album by Calling Hours is an absolute joy to listen to. The album “Say Less” just released in November on the mighty Revelation Records and it’s already making waves in the punk and hardcore communities. This album rides the waves of any great melodic punk/rock band but takes it up another whole level and far exceeds expectations. The band Too Bad Eugene have just launched a new kickstarter campaign to help fund the finished recording and mix on the new album. I’ve already heard an early mix of a new song titled “Shaking My Fist At Clouds” and I must say, this is the absolute best the band has ever sounded. It’s an extremely catchy track with tons of melodic, fast punk rock, along with great sounding BGVs like the band has become well known for. An underground indie pop-punk band I’ve been following since the Punk Never Dies days called Sam’s The Hero, has just announced they have signed with Small Step Records and will be releasing their label debut single on November 17th. I was alerted to this band The Caballerials by a friend and must say that their brand of pop-punk is anything but boring. Fun emotionally charged pop-punk with a heavy 2000’s vibe that’ll please fans of Home Grown, FenixTX, Blink-182, Man Alive, Ace Troubleshooter, and even Olivia The Band. Like the Olivia The Band these guys also reside from the state of Hawaii and create some pretty meaningful yet entirely fun new music.
