REVIEW : Ascending King - Funeral of the Species

Ascending King is a one-man extreme metal project from Texas. Stylistically it’s a straight-up 50/50 mix of raw black metal and funeral doom. What’s strange about that mix is just how incredibly well it works here. Slower tempos overall and crushing heaviness reminiscent of sludge without the leftfield tendencies of that subgenre, but with occasional mid-paced blastbeats? Mid-paced blastbeats you say? IVM Premiere: The Beckoning Release New Artwork for "The Desolation of War"

The extreme progressive metal band, The Beckoning  have announced the new title of their upcoming re-release, their first release through their new label, Nosral Recordings. Outrage A.D. joins the Nosral Recordings roster

The Canadian death metal act Outrage AD has joined Nosral Recordings roster of recording artists. The band began in 1992 as Outrage. Under the name of Outrage, the band, consisting of Vocalist/Guitarist Mart Marion, Drummer Nick Richer and Bassist Art Robillard, the band released a demo titled Hail God, closely followed by Waiting for the Son. Shadow Puncher Signs to Nosral Recordings

Shadow Puncher, a Norwegian death metal act, has joined the Nosral Recordings roster. The project formed in 2016, with Kevin Max Ølstøren running everything. Influenced by bands such as Metallica, Pantera, Sepultura, and Dimmu Borgir, Shadow Puncher brings a brutal representation of Norwegian death metal. Check out The Throne of Justice and Love, The Path of Challenges and No Despair EP. Ølstøren is working on the project’s new album coming next year.

Ascending King, the spirit-filled blackened doom metal band has released his debut lyric video for his EP, Funeral of a Species. The project began back in 2015, formed by Aaron “Ruah” Kirby. Ruah signed to Nosral Recordings earlier this year. The video is for the track “Moon of the Dead”. The track premiered on HM Magazine today! Nosral Recordings, the label of Mike “Sebat” Larson (Frost Like Ashes), has announced the signing of several new bands to their up and coming label. The first act is known simply as Enemy of Satan a project based out of Indonesia. It’s run all by Daniel Madha. The second is better known. The death metal band Children of Wrath, signed to Nosral Recordings, has released their debut album, No Flesh Spared. The project is run by Luke Dinan, who performs all of the instrumentation. Nosral Recordings (Rottweiler Records) announces New Signing

The new subsidiary label for Rottweiler Records, Nosral Recordings has announced the signing of their first band! Nosral started only days ago, and have already signed their first band, Ascending King. Ascending King is an unblack metal band that was affiliated with SkyBurnsBlack Recordings. The band is working on a new EP for release this summer. Be on the lookout for more signings from this label.
