Song of the Day: Naos Project - Transcend

Naos Project aka Naos was a nu-metal band in the mid 2000s. They are pretty obscure & I have very few songs from them. This song came from a CDR album & was also listed on the old mp3.com site. They have another song called You that’s really good also. From what I have gathered over the years is that they changed their name to The Heroine & dropped the nu-metal vibe. for a more southern rock tone.… Continued →

Indie Vision Music Turns 20

20 years ago I launched a site called IndieVisionMusic.com. It was initially an online Webstore only but then morphed into a record label then webzine then label and now all 3. It wasn’t a huge behemoth by any means (never was). I still run almost all operations myself in my free time when I’m not working or spending quality family time. I have a great team of skilled writers on the webzine side that work so hard to keep you all updated and filled with inspiring content.… Continued →

REVIEW : Leem of Earth - Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and Chapter 3

Atmospheric, floating, literary and lush. Leem of Earth has completed their trilogy with the June 7th release of Chapter 3,  the third EP in their belletristic series: Chapter 1, Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. In all three efforts, the band from Pensacola, Florida, creates a fragile wall of sound that hearkens between the fuzz and soundscapes of 90s 4AD shoegaze bands and the ethereal charm of Mazzy Star, The Sundays, Cocteau Twins and The Innocence Mission.

The Best of 2007: Indie Hits You Might Have Missed

2007 was definitely a strong year for music. As much as I enjoyed some of the more popular releases of the year, the lesser known albums certainly held a place in my heart. The albums listed below are a mix of independent, underground, and mostly over looked releases from the year 2007. Feel free to dissect and discuss below in the comments. Oh and I left off 2 important 2007 honorary IVM releases because that would be self-promotion am I right?… Continued →
