Years ago, I came across this band called Breaking the Silence. They had an album out called “Stand”, and I really enjoyed the hard rock sound mixed with the female vocals. It was definitely a sound I was looking for at the time and while there were a few other bands out there doing it as well, such as Fireflight, Flyleaf, and Evanescence, they were still few in number. So excited to announce that the brand new Stavesacre full length “MCMXCV” is finally here. Take a listen to the songs on all digital networks including YouTube, below. If you don’t have this Stavesacre album yet and aren’t listening to it right now then I’ve lost all faith in humanity ;) Seriously though, drop what you are doing and give a listen to the new album from Stavesacre, their first new music since 2009. It’s more than nostalgia and longing for past glory, this is a step above all the other “rock” records of 2017. It’s a beautiful reminder of the powerful impact MUSIC can have on one’s soul. For me this band has always held a special significance for me in my walk and contemplation on life. Mark Salomon is one the finest rock n’ roll vocalists to grace our music scene in the past 20+ years as he has fronted this band (and before with The Crucified). I still have the fondest memories of seeing these guys live back in the day even when all the crowds around us seemed more concerned with punk and ska. These gentlemen always captivated the crowd and my heart. Thank you guys for making the best album of 2017 and revitalizing the rock scene. I hope even more people will discover the magic of this band. Continued →

You have to check out this music video from Indiana based metalcore band, From These Ruins. The song is called “Slave To Nothing” and appears on the band’s recent album “Advocate of the Unwanted”. Their sound would please fans across the metal board and have a very diverse sound. If you’re into groups like Killswitch Engage, Bullet For My Valentine, Demon Hunter, Sleeping Giant, and even Sevendust, you’ll find something appreciate in their music.
Seventh Day Slumber have released their aggressive, melodic, and completely enjoyable new hard rock release, “Found”. You can find it wherever fine music is sold. The VSR Music Group/Capitol Christian Music Group release is some of the strongest music the band has created in recent years. I encourage all of you to go find this record and buy it. Continued →

Roxx Records is releasing Holy Soldier’s classic 1992 full length “Last Train” on Red Vinyl and CD. The album has been remastered and will feature updated artwork while still staying true to the original. I still remember listening to this album when I was a young lad and really enjoying their diverse take on rock n’ roll. These guys really nailed hard rock and did it right. Purchase the album on Vinyl/CD right here. You can find the original version via Spotify below.

A new Fireflight release just hit the digital marketplace. It’s titled “Re-Imag-Innova” and features 5 tracks from “Innova” reimagined in an acoustic type setting. I really enjoyed the “Innova” album and this Ep makes it clear the talent this group holds. I’ve been a fan since the beginning and I really hope (and pray) that they continue making new music for years to come.
