Song of The Day: Whitecross - Enough is Enough

Today’s song of the day is going back, I mean WAY back into Christian rock past. I’ve always dug the band Whitecross. So much of their music was similar to what was coming out in the 80’s/90’s sound wise but they had their own spin and music chops to back it up. Rex Carroll was a force of nature and Scott’s raw vocal talents cut through the noise and all those sappy moments. They were true innovators in a scene run rampant with drugs, sex, and that whole vulgar image people ate up.… Continued →

GFM - Framing My Perception (New Song)

GFM just dropped a brand new song which is their first for 2022 and as a part of Rockfest Records. The 3 sisters have found their sound and that sound is astounding, taking them to the next level. I’ve always thought these girls had it in them to record soaring music that would touch the lives of many but just needed a little extra push. “Framing My Perception” is that perfect push and if this doesn’t get played on radio or have their video shared, then tell me I’m wrong.… Continued →

Islander - Skin Crawl feat. Korn, ZAO, Living Sacrifice (Official Lyric Video)

This absolutely insane new song from the band Islander featuring a line up that’ll make you drool over, just hit in lyric video form. Not only that but the entire new Islander album released on Friday to much surprise and it hits HARD. Check out the song “Skin Crawl” featuring Brian Head Welch of Korn, Dan from ZAO, and Bruce from Living Sacrifice on really heavy new song that mixes a combination of genres and styles into a chaotic yet somehow melodic, set of songs.… Continued →

You Can't "Erase" Zahna

You certainly can’t “Erase” Zahna or her music. Well except in the case that she actually did release a hard hitting new song titled “Erase” and the lyric video for said song can be found below. It’s one of her best and so well done. Check out the lyric video for the song, below.… Continued →

Wolves At The Gate - Lights & Fire (Official Music Video)

How awesome is Wolves At The Gate? I mean seriously, this band has released 4 full lengths (with 1 on the way), 3 EPs, and 1 Covers Ep plus stuff they may have done independently, all the while slipping under most people’s radars. I absolutely love this band and think their powerful music is worthy of repeat listens as well as all the fanfare coming their way. Make sure to watch the music video for the incredible new song “Lights & Fire” below and check out the new album “Eulogies” out March 11th on Solid State Records.… Continued →

Song of the Day: David Zaffiro - Diversity

When Bloodgood’s lead guitarist left the band to go solo, fans of the 80s metal stalwarts weren’t entirely sure what to expect. We probably assumed more heavy metal–at least that’s what I expected. And while there is certainly some hard rock (almost glam metal) at times, The Other Side was much broader in scope. The album showcased Zaffiro’s excellent guitar work, as we’d already become familiar with through three albums with Bloodgood: Bloodgood (1986), Detonation (1987, often hailed as the band’s finest effort), and Rock in a Hard Place (1988).… Continued →

Maylene and the Sons of Disaster Plot A Return in 2022

Dallas Taylor and the boys in Maylene And The Sons of Disaster have surprised everyone by posting some info regarding new music and a music video that will drop soon. According to sources here and here, there is even a pic of Dallas Taylor with former Underoath bassist/guitarist, Octavio Fernandez. No exact word yet on when this new music video (or new music itself) will drop, but we will try and keep you updated. Praise God that Dallas is recovering well and that we will be able to hear his massive, thunderous voice once again.… Continued →

Song of the Day: GFM - Smile

Gold Frankincense & Myrrh (stylized as GFM) is a metal band comprised of 3 sisters. With so much talent for being so young, this band has a great future & have put out so much music in so little time. This review is also in reference to my friend Blake who runs Reanimated Radio who likes this band as much as I do! This SOTD was hard to choose from my other fave Graveyard of Identities, but is because of its lyrical content.… Continued →

Theocracy is One of the Strongest Modern Metal Bands Alive

Theocracy I believe are quite possibly one of the strongest modern metal bands alive, fight me! This lesser known but still extremely talented and gut wrenching band, are working on a new album which would be their first in more than 5 years. Check out a couple teasers of guitar riffs and some vocals off upcoming songs, below. These are Facebook embeds so if you don’t have an account, not sure what to say. I searched YouTube but couldn’t find them.… Continued →

REVIEW : Relent - Heavy

Relent has been around and making music longer than most realize; most likely myself included. A 2 song ep in 2016, the Heart Attack ep (2019), the re-release of the Heart Attack ep (2020), with 2 new tracks, and now a full length, aptly titled, “Heavy”. And yes. Yes, it is. From the first listen to these guys a number of yrs ago, I was hooked. I’m a sucker for downtuned guitars with well constructed grooves, thunderous drums, and a mix of rapped/sung/screamed vocals.… Continued →

Skillet - Surviving The Game (Brand New Song and Music Video)

Skillet, have just released their brand new song titled “Surviving The Game” and there is a music video to accompany the track (check it out below). This song continues in that same current Skillet sound tradition and their sound is complimented by high end production as well as musicianship. I really think Jen’s background vocals give this track an extra layer of oomf that further compliments their already classic, rock sound. If you dig the more recent Skillet music, you’re going to absolutely love this.… Continued →
