Symphony of Heaven, the symphonic death metal project from Owensville, IN, has a new lyric video up for their song “Stratagem”. The project started earlier this year, and has released two songs, with an EP coming soon. I recently did an interview with the brainchild of the project, Logan Thompson. The System is Down Podcast

Get Uncomfortable With The System is Down Podcast

Dan Smotz (The Dawn Retreat, SMOTZ) has launched his latest installment in what seems to be a never ending sequence of creative project. The System is Down is a podcast focused on all the touchy subjects that tend to set people off, but it is exacted in the form of civil, critical discussion. It’s a promising idea, and, for someone who doesn’t follow podcasts regularly, my interest is certainly piqued. Check out the first episode here.Continued →

REVIEW : The Classic Crime - How To Be Human

It’s been nearly five years since mainstay rockers, The Classic Crime has put out new material. For avid fans of the band, it was an interminable wait. We can rejoice because the hiatus is over and we have a new album from one of the few remaining bands from the pop/rock, Tooth & Nail era. So the question lingers in the air – was the wait worth it? Here’s why it’s a frustrating “no.” After a forty second intro track, How To Be Human kicks off with their first and for obvious reasons, controversial single.… Continued →

REVIEW : K I D S - Side A

One of Flicker Records’ most beloved alumni bands have decided to not only get out of the way, but moreover, they have risen from the ashes like a phoenix (with a heartache) after nearly ten years since their last album was released. Never quite having one particular sound but always succeeding in the style they adopted, this band has done emo, punk, post-hardcore, and straight on rock n’ roll. Kids in the Way have become K I D S and Side A shows the band both evolving and maintaining some of their roots.… Continued →

REVIEW : Choirs Of Veritas – I Am The Way, The Truth And The Life

Choirs Of Veritas is a symphonic metal project that literally means “Choirs Of Truth”, symbolizing the union between music and the spiritual truth of Jesus Christ. Those Christian themes are made abundantly clear on their debut full-length, I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life. The project was birthed from the mind of Davide Scuteri, keyboardist and composer, as an offering to God and from a desire to thank God for the gift of music. The album’s purpose is to unite both the love for God and metal music.… Continued →

Brandon CD Collection For Sale

I am seriously considering selling off my CD collection. I am interested in selling in bulk and not by individual one by one CDs. Groups of 25 CDs or more would be preferable. I have a lot more indie titles and other CDs that didn’t scan in through my app I use. I will add those titles at a later date. I have no more PS3 Games and the Vinyl is not for sale. These “Vinyl” were all scanned in over a year ago and I have collected quite a bit more in that timeframe plus some didn’t scan in for whatever reason.… Continued →
