Nate Parrish Releases New Full Length Album "Make Me A Mountain"

I’ve been following Nate Parrish’s work since he first sent me “I’m a Wreck” randomly through the contact email for my website back in 2020. I’ve been hooked on his sound, music output, and his lyrical genius ever since then. It seems as though his songwriting, musicianship, honesty, and just the lyrics themselves, continue to improve to the point where we are witnessing Nate Parrish in his prime. He is making timeless music that will inspire not only old heads like myself but a whole generation of people seeking hope and answers in the dark, looking for substance in the art they consume. Speaking of the music itself, it just sounds GREAT, I mean production wise there is absolutely no difference between this new record and anything you hear on front page streaming sites, radio, tv, or thrust on you in the public realm. There really are some beautiful moments on this record and I’m enjoying it as a whole, listening through several times since yesterday (sorry I waited). The guest spots from legends like Josh Kemble (Dogwood, Saint Didacus) on “Pendulum People” and Jason Dunn (Hawk Nelson, Lights Go Down, etc.) on “Under The Weather” are nothing short of extraordinary. I feel nothing but pure joy in diving through these songs, all 10 tracks. There is depth, there is passion and hope, and there are emotional moments as heard on the title track “Make Me a Mountain”. I’m not going to quote all the lyrics found on the record because I feel you have to witness these songs on your own whether it be with headphones along in a room or in your car with the volume cranked up, heck you can even stream them on your computers or game system, just dive in and absorb these songs into your heart. I’ve always had a soft spot for independent music and Nate Parrish “Make Me a Mountain” is a perfect example of quality independent music making without outside influences dictating how it’s written and performed. Just honesty in it’s purest, unfiltered form. There’s a lot of beauty and grace, hope and rawness, in these songs. Yet, through it all is the constant running theme of hope amidst the storm, of finding yourself in the uncertainties of a life full of questions and sometimes little answers. There is so much here to unpack and Nate has taken his music beyond predictable punk rock to encompass a variety of styles and sounds while still holding true to the music that has made him a recognizable name. Nate Parrish is our Andrew W.K. for these modern times we live in and bringing us righteous hope. This is Christian music I can back and get behind. I’m excited about the state of our current scene and Nate Parrish is leading the pack. Thank you, my friend, for making what will become the album that everyone will look back on years from now. Nate’s music has got me through some rough times in my past and given me something to sing along with loud and proud in 2025 with a wide smile across my face. I’m at peace and this music puts me at peace. Nate Parrish “Make Me a Mountain” available now wherever you find your music. Order on CD right here.
