L.S. Underground (AKA LSU, L.S.U. LifeSavers Underground, Lifesavers, Lifesavors) have been doing alternative music in various forms since the early 80s. “The Grape Prophet,” originally released on Blonde Vinyl in 1992 was a concept album full of nuance and metaphor representing a young man’s journey looking into what was deemed a potentially dangerous Christian cult. Dark and brooding, the album has often been hailed as the band’s magnum opus. The original release is tremendously difficult to obtain, in large part because a vast shipment of units got somehow lost in transit. After years of begging from fans, critics, and the like, the album is finally being re-issued on vinyl (for the first time), CD and digital download! The new version will see a remaster as well as include some acoustic versions of the songs.

There is a Kickstarter campaign for the release here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lostinohio/the-grape-prophet?ref=2dfmof&fbclid=IwAR3-GgS9y1XnD_Hrkqhdye4KW4IvpYksl1A0CbYR3SLuZdvCr774vHZ88YM
